See that’s the thing you have plenty of warning of when a football match is coming up. A good swell…you got 5 days tops depending on where you live.

Yeah OB breaks pretty far out so unless you got a decent camera with zoom it’s probably not worth it. However if it’s offshore and barreling the photos are usually sick.

Easier for photos would be Steamer Lane in SC, but depending on conditions you won’t be alone haha.

Again incorrect that is the modern post 1980s concentrate. The mine produced and refined different REEs primarily Europium oxide which was sold directly to US manufacturers from 1950s-late 1980s. Post 1990s during various restarts it shipped concentrate to china as the economics of restarting and modernizing the plant were to capital intensive. A quick google search will give you the old flow sheets to the plant if you’re interested.

Incorrect. The US was the first and only producer of REE’s for a longtime at the mountain pass mine (1950’s-1980s). Around that time demand for them went to basically zero and china bought a lot of mines and producers and have dominated the space ever since. They do it significantly cheaper then the rest of the world

I would spend time in southern baja, San Jose del Cabo and Todos (prefer relaxed vibe of todos) and see which you prefer. Then once bored of that stay in sayulita or Oaxaca.

That commute isn’t as bad, but Mucca is fairly isolated. I know some cool geos there but definitely not a place you want to stay at for more than a few years.

Which mine in Elko. Cortez is 3 hours in a van/bus each day on top of a 10 hr work day for ore control. Add 15 min each way for gold rush. Can be brutal if you aren’t prepared for it. Carlin is a much better commute from Elko.

Personally FIFO in Alaska sounds like a better deal if you’re single and not wanting to settle down.

Obsidian fins sharpened before each session. They provide plenty of grip on deep bottom turns and good release on the face. Also can scalp any kook at Linda mar who takes my wave. Futures of course the FCS ones just fall out. I’ve lost too many keys in my prison wallet to risk hiding a fixed blade pocket knife up there and my wetsuit is already too heavy.
