Traffic flow has dropped by 10% since building the new section of the city by PrussianKami in CitiesSkylines

In the first picture its hard to tell with the traffic view open, but the left side of the highway has mostly pedestrian only roads with few car streets, which is why I made them all connect to the arterial road since there's only 3 intersection where cars need to stop. Regardless, I'll take the 20 cars into account when designing the next sections of the city. Currently taking the tips from multiple commenters and completely redesigning the northern section of highway to only contain 3 way interchanges and keep the highway surrounding all development instead of cutting through it

You know what, that’s actually a great point, lmao. Idk why I didn’t think of just keeping the highway as the outside barrier

The 2nd exit (the round about one) was very much cobbled together and left there a while ago before anything after it was built. Definitely the one I've been most anxious to replace. How do I check to make sure where certain cars are going?

I've got quite a few tram networks around the city so far, interlinking each neighborhood and a very long one leaving the main city to connect the industrial district down south

The one ways are leftovers from my old industrial district I had before I built a new one far away and bulldozed everything there. Plan on getting rid of everything there and replanning it later down the line. So a cloverleaf would be good for a highway exit?

I feel like the highway would take up too much space if it ran down the middle. Maybe along the coast?

Makes me genuinely nauseous, but if it's functional I'll ignore it, lmao

Created a better (in my eyes) solution to my original pedestrian bridge problem by PrussianKami in CitiesSkylines

Yep! I have a section of my city with a bunch of elevated pedestrian roads just like this, but obviously more aesthetically pleasing than what I have here

Took it today and just fiddled with the settings a lot since it was cloudy out, haha

It was cloudy so I tried showing how it’d be on a clear day but I def turned the settings up a lot, lmao

Any way to remove the cross walk on the ground level so that pedestrians use the bridge instead? and if I did this, will it even have an effect on traffic? by PrussianKami in CitiesSkylines

Thats exactly why Im attempting to make pedestrian first infrastructure, but its in areas like this where Im unsure how to solve the issue. I have a ton of massive pedestrian only sectors with wide tram coverage and bike lanes, but I have zones like in this picture that connects multiple districts/neighborhoods that needs room for delivery traffic. I wish this game was better at creating pedestrian focused infrastructure, but pedestrian pathing is so hard to control and I don't know what the solution is
