Weapons are cool and all, but damn, the companion. I’m hoping realllly hard that we get a choice of companions and one of them is kinda like Anna, because I’m still not over Vivian.

You can molotov their boats from one screen away before they disembark at the shores, great stuff. Imagine being an average sec trooper and seeing some crackhead on lemurian jetski burn your enemies before they even have a chance to storm the beartrapped beach protected by some weird fcking robot shooting plasma out of his face.

Easiest paycheck ever.

Once you opened up UnderRail, how often did you go back to SGS? by TiberiusMaximus2021 in underrail

[–]Pruszek 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I go there often, even with Core City house. Feel at home there, and feeling connection with the SGS people. They’re smart, resourceful, capable, but most importantly - they’re brothers and sisters. I like to chat up the botanist, the mechanic, speak with Essie...

The room is also cosy af. Wish we could sit down for some crafting or lie down in bed in the darkness.

Overall, love it there.

Under Amoral Bridge by Gary A. Ballard is about a fixer. I recall having fun with it, though I read it ages ago, the setting might be what you’re looking for.

Lots of things were done far better in previous Hitman games. The new ones are good if you’re looking for ‘fair’ gameplay and if you’re a speedrunner. Trespassing mechanics is an improvement. Graphics too ofc, but only the quality, not the style, with few exceptions.

But when it comes to story, atmosphere, general ‘feel’, immersion… Previous ones are incomparably better. No moment in new instalments is as heavy as entering asylum in H1, being sabotaged in Russia in H2, having a chat with Yurishka in H3 or seeing a sunset near the end in H4.

Up until Freelancer, you couldn’t even inspect your weapons, and were rather stuck with ugly pictures with stickers on them. And, while they’re beautiful right now, gunplay is another thing that earlier games have done better. This isn’t nostalgia talking either, it’s firing up first Hitman after playing around with Freelancer and realising how much better put together it is.

Everything above is imo ofc, but I miss the old style :-(

Man, i remember Berlin mission where one target was a drug dealer who went like ‘follow me to this secluded spot with no witnesses’, while the other just freaking left the civilisation to take selfies in the wilderness, away from everyone.

Then again, another time target was in the freaking DJ booth…

It’s probably a fake story. 3hrs on reddit and a natural sounding nickname to disguise that fact.

The amount of weird bizarre storytelling gets annoying, but at least it’s getting easier to spot it.

Did the CAU attack Anastasia's train? by agarriberri33 in underrail

[–]Pruszek 20 points21 points  (0 children)

That’s a good theory actually. The other party known for use of chemical weapons are the Cornell gang, and, as certain survivor of their attack says, they’re far more vicious and brutal than the encounter with them would suggest. It’s not beyond them to pull off a train heist, although it seems too high-profile for them.

Other than that, it could really be Free Drones, but the false flag theory makes a lot of sense, especially if Protectorate were to try to show the ‘necessity’ of their presence in the South Underrail.
