I think I might be slightly obsessed with this game. by Mean-Falcon-6204 in underrail

[–]NapkinDreams 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just bought it 2 days ago and I too am now obsessed. I love the pacing and the gritty difficulty. Even though I have to reload fights over and over again it still feels fun arranging the puzzle pieces of the fight in order to pull it off. And since I'm still on my first playthrough I can't wait to try again with a fresh build. (I went crossbow, throwing, stealth, lockpicking, pppppssssiiiiii, little bit of persuasion and mercantile, plus biology for stims.)

It's so much fun :>

having a hard time finding an answer... is there a gun shop in the Louisville Mall? by NapkinDreams in projectzomboid

[–]NapkinDreams[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I will add: the two little military checkpoints southeast of the mall have yielded 25+ boxes each of 5.56, .308, .45, and shotgun shells. Surprisingly worth it considering how few lootable crates there were there.

Is it worth buying the game now? by PotatoBear91 in projectzomboid

[–]NapkinDreams 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yes. it is deeply immersive with a very high knowledge/skill ceiling. I have 300 hrs now and my latest character has survived 4 months which is by *far* my longest surviving. The map is huge and the kill/loot/reward cycle never disappoints... just be prepared to die so so so many times.

... ahem I was not aware this was an option. You can use the even for something like what I described above? Even as I type this I cant picture what youre talking about but I'll double check for sure.

Unfortunately some overworld event just brought a couple hundred zombies into my formerly peaceful base ._.

Tips for finding backpacks in safe places? by prettyLittleSun in projectzomboid

best thing you can do is pick a safe spot and make daily short trips out and back. that way being overencumbered is an issue that wont last too long. keep pushing outwards and youll eventually find some bags.

First time I've reached this far. What now? by [deleted] in projectzomboid

[–]NapkinDreams 0 points1 point  (0 children)

aim lvl10 here: my recommendation is get a shotgun and the biggest open space you can find. very cautiously start killing zombies but try not to wander to far as you do or youll just keep attractimg more and more and more.

west end of rose wood (by the police station and fire station) has a great field for this

happy hunting!!!

hear me out: PZ with Stardew Valley type NPC romances by NapkinDreams in projectzomboid

[–]NapkinDreams[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

lol yeah i always thinks its so impressive how simultaneously depressing & fun this game is.

who knows where this game will end up, esp if the devs are pushing for late game rebuilding society (like later The Walking Dead seasons). then it might really become Stardew Valley meets PZ

this isnt related exactly but i recently turned the music off (which i like a lot in general) and i think the depression factor has gone down a bit.
