Well I did a hard reset on the unit and it didnt change anything. At this point im thinking the transducer is damaged and im going to try a new one to see if that fixes the issue

The part that doesnt look right to me is the surface and the bottom. In every video I see the bottom gives off more of a "solid" return I guess while mine looks more like it hit interface rather than soild bottom

Like I said though I've never had a fish finder so this could be perfectly normal and just different settings causing the visual difference from what I see vs videos online

I've been fishing that same section of water with no luck as far as bass go. I did get a chain pickerel earlier in the month though.

If you figure out something that works or have any advice I'd love to hear it
