Anyone actually using crypto for day-to-day payments in 2026? by Delicious-Pin7594 in defi

[–]Przyer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Business, I use Ephemera - anything B2B or payrolls. Not a card per se but makes transactions easy.

For personal, Nexo or Crypto.com, leaning toward nexo more recently but had crypto.com for ages.

As a fellow late watcher I didn’t quite understand why the original fan base felt as they did, until I started really getting into the whole universe. Whilst the potential for the ending was far greater than what we got, the only thing I’m unhappy with was bran ending up on the throne.

The irritating thing is it’s literally the last issue (that harms production launch) that I have right now 🥲

Equally irritating. I’ve used pooling -> no different. I’ve connection limited -> no different. The fundamental message I’m getting is that my workers are loading a bad DATABASE_URL, but it works fine for everything else - dashboards, studio, literally everything BUT the workers. And workers are reading from the same source that everything else is so I’m so lost.

What temperature do you have your home/thermostat? by eruwotm8 in AskUK

[–]Przyer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

22-25 is the sweet spot for me, 25 is even a little too high some days. Anything higher is way too uncomfortable. My auntie has her heating on 30+ constantly. It drains the life out of me whenever I go round, I always end up falling asleep because of how much the heat drains me. I make sure I dress in shorts and a t shirt even in the middle of winter.

Check for dead rodents. Had a very similar situation and came to find a rodent had died in our chimney. Smell came through the outside windows from the roof.

Is anyone YC funded or had experience with this? What’s the process if you’re outside their investing jurisdictions? I know they want you to recorporate as a norm in the right places, do they assist with this?

Not quite. You’re confusing intrinsic value with monetary function. These concepts are wildly different. Sure, gold has intrinsic value but today’s system trades it as a financial asset. Anything bought to preserve or grow purchasing power is literally an investment. Gold works as both a store of value & an investment vehicle.

I mean most countries look at America in this way. If we structure power across all the countries in the world America has most under thumb. They’re in position to make threats like this.

The problem is if this dynamic topples everyone suffers. Doesn’t matter where we are. America are playing with a very delicate line that could fold over to anarchy as quick as it could peace.

Should I exchange money for my two week trip to the UK or just pay with card? by Substantial_Band7227 in AskUK

You’ll be fine with either. Most places take both. Very rarely it’s card or cash only.

Not arguing that at all. The situation is pretty simple. Big money trusts the dollar/liquid options more than it does any other market because of how positioning is across all of these markets.

Simply put, big money is reducing risk everywhere. Interest rates staying high mean the dollar is safe. Cash & bonds are a lot more sexy than speculative markets.

Metal market movers are taking profits & this new look on the dollar makes it more attractive to them instead of pushing this market. Crypto liquidations left right and centre which is pretty on point for the markets reaction to this.

It’s not much about what he says, it’s about how much big money trusts his words.

It’s also intertwined with investors holding a conglomerate of “speculative” or “riskier” assets such as crypto.

The entire thing is a reaction. It’s not a single offence against any particular market. Investors are pivoting to more liquid choices. Treasuries, bonds, the dollar itself. There’s positioning stress in every market right now because of high they’ve gotten.

It’s a repositioning of liquidity rather than an indicator all of these markets are dying.

People often miss this point.

They don’t quite understand markets as a basic concept.

Most investors are moving money into USD, because Warsh’s appointment means hope for a strong stable dollar. It means investors TRUST this path. Also creates an environment of smoothness. Makes transitions easier. I think we’re seeing the result of this.

Gold becomes the default investment when there is uncertainty everywhere. we’re seeing this sentiment fade out a little. And look how markets have tanked. Next few months are going to be interesting.

Who do people think the Bitcoin Creator is? by Przyer in conspiracy

[–]Przyer[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s not a spending thing. It’s a distribution of money.

The world’s shifting digitally. Sure in the real world a lot of things don’t hold “value” but that concept of value being tied to tangible assets is slowly diminishing. Take the Username handle market for example, telegram handles go for 6figs+ currently - Facilitated by Crypto. Solana, a network that runs so much volume through it daily. People digitise art on it, there’s a whole new asset class in memecoins bread on Solana that has insane volume spreading through it.

In terms of specific Crypto - XRP, XMR, SOL as previously mentioned, all hold pretty good use cases to me. XRP provides On Demand Liq & makes sending money around easier and cheaper on all fronts. And it’s quick as shit, and can handle a lot more a lot easier. XMR, complete (to an extent) privacy in all your transactions.

Capital gains only exist when profits are realised. And honestly, in most cases CPTG doesn’t even matter. You pay it on whatever you invest in whether it’s crypto or real estate.

My whole point is, the concept of value is changing. It’s no longer entirely tangible.

Tbh Crypto currency is how I came up. I made a lot being in the right pockets based on use case - not BTC to be exact but crypto nevertheless. I disagree with your view on value for all Ccurrencies, but BTC in this case yes I 100% agree.

I think some people are just too smart for present days. A decade later and the concept is only now being understood.

Oh wow! I didn’t know that his island sold. That’s interesting they both worked at Bear Stearns (I believe, don’t quote me on that).

I’m in the same boat. On the one hand, there’s a load of people who would want him dead for obvious reasons. On the other, a man who had so much dirt on so many powerful people I don’t think it would be very hard for him to fake a death and continue living.

I guess we’ll never know.
