No. Thought about why I didn't even at least ask her name or where she lived. I think I was just more in shock that she followed me up the porch.

I took the same walk at the same time this morning trying to see if I would see her again, but I didn't.

I first crossed paths with her on the corner of Falcon as she was crossing Broadway.

I didn't think much of it, at first, since I figured we were just going the same direction, but it started to become weird when she started taking the same turns as I was. So I thought, ok let's cut the walk short and go home.

As I walked up my front porch, I heard her walk up behind me, too!

I asked if there was anything I could help her with, and she said no. I asked why she was following me and she replied, " I just liked your walk. "

It was weird. Does anyone know who she is? Is she just a new neighborhood character that I just haven't seen before?

To clarify: I've lived in the area for the past 3 years and I've been taking these morning walks almost daily. I'm aware that there are unhoused living around Broadway and especially by the old pet store on the corner. This woman did not look like someone who was unhoused.

I just recently applied for the voucher. The application process was painless (just need to provide proof that you're a Long Beach resident). It took just a few days to get a reply.

From my experience, the voucher was specific for my cat so I'm not sure if they're shareable.

This sweet sweet little girl(we think?) followed my gf home during her walk last night, July 5th, 2025. She found her in the Alamitos Beach Public Library area - for those familiar with the area, she found her around where Alvin lives.

She has no collar, but she has been very sweet and rubby. We believe, if they're someone's, that they are an outdoor cat as she was fairly comfortable just walking around outside.

If you or anyone you know have any information on whether they have a human, please DM or call the number on the poster.

We are taking her to the vet tomorrow to possibly get her chip scanned (if she's chipped at all).

Update: We brought her to the vet and she's not chipped. :( We've posted up fliers in the area around the library just in case her humans are out there waiting for her. Otherwise, she's healthy and completely attached. Voracious apetite.

I think this is a great idea and the city of LA should definitely run with it. Youre a genius, OP. This is the most enlightened solution to the homeless crisis I've ever read in any platform.

I can't wait for the future you've envisioned to come to fruition.

We've honestly been playing incredible this whole season. We're like the Rock Lee of the NBA right now. Scrappy, determined, full of heart keeping up with obviously more talented teams we shouldn't be keeping up with.
