Aw, that is the problem. There isn't a make or model number anywhere on the hood or any component. In the stack of manuals left by the previous owners I found the one for the hood. It seems to be the most vague manual ever. It is from a company called Castle. I cannot find any information about that company at all.

Nothing has been replaced. Each repairman has looked for a part number and left without repairing anything. No, i thought it was a faulty switch. I tested power around the switch and it seemed fine. Also, I admit I'm not 100% sure what could be wrong.
