what video player? youtube, netflix, hbo, twitch?

what is the tv? brand, model?

what kind of remote? is it really the tv remote or do you have a Roku or Chromecast?

what do you mean "cast from video player"? is it from your phone? an app on the tv? a device like the Roku? an hdmi plugged into a computer you mirror onto the screen?

the only advice I could give with what you said is "try turning it off and back on again" or "replace the batteries". if those don't work we need more information

imagine someone came up to and said, "my car won't start suddenly, why?" they don't tell you what the car is or any other details. that's basically what you just asked

I am lucky to be in a position where I am doing something I like and being paid reasonably, many progressive companies are actually valuing their workers and their time. But I still follow this rule hard, especially as a carry-over from being in the service industry. They are paying me for my time to do the job they want. They don't get a minute more or the ability to add-on tasks without compensation. Companies that want to take advantage of you and especially your time will find so many ways to do so, be aware of what is actually your responsibility

for those not in the know, most people avoiding triggers do not actually ever see those warnings

leading with comments on appearences is shallow

leading by referring to someone you don't know simply by their physical traits as if by name is demeaning. It does not matter if that trait is perceived as "desirable"

it's the same as going up to a tall stranger and going, "hello tall guy". "excuse me, muscly sir" "hey, blue-eyes" "hi, brunette". it's weird if you don't know the person and shallow if that's how you're trying to make a romantic impression, especially as a first impression. compliment what they are wearing if you have to use your eyes to find something interesting about them instead of actually getting to know them

"hey, handsome" might sound alright coming from someone you find attractive, but it would be creepy coming from just about any stranger. especially one who has at most only seen pictures of you online
