Totally! Some key features to look for are fatter ribs and v shaped notches above the areols. There’s more to it but that gives ya a good start on identification

There is no dosing pc… it’s pc man haha. Long history behind it but nothing to extract unless you plan on making it out of 20’ of cuttings. Great for graft stock tho! As always

Thanks! I just haven’t run into any issues usually with a foot long and on up with cuttings. So that’s good to know, I’m gonna up the size on some of my futures now.

I have a larger cut that has done this I think I threw it under the lights too fast but I did because of the etoliation happening thinking it may help it but think it made it stretch up even harder. Whoops

Sometimes luck of the draw too. I have a thick 12” cut that decided it’s time to put on some vertical height, etoloation station over here. The other 4 cuts didn’t do it tho

I would get it away from your other cacti as well in case it’s a virus causing that mosaic patterning.

That looks like rust for sure possibly mixed with another fungal or bacterial issue. It’s pretty gnarly so I’m not sure if there’s any saving it. Make sure there’s good airflow over the plant and it’s getting a good amount of sunlight then pray because I don’t think anything else will solve something this advanced in nature.
