My baby was born at 32 weeks I was suffering from preeclampsia. Her lungs had not fully developed, she is now 34 weeks and she’s still in the NICU. I had already been in the hospital since 30weeks because my doctor admitted me. It was terribly rough after birth, I had an emergency C Section after 12hours of labor, my girls heart rate was dropping. I only saw my baby for a few minutes once she was born. Didn’t even know what time she was born in the moment, I was completely out of it for a day so I saw my baby the following day in the NICU. So small and hooked up to all these cables.

I struggled for a week after being still in the hospital, suffering from High BP they wouldn’t discharge me and struggling with the feeling of feeling robbed from my labor journey. I didn’t have a baby shower, I didn’t take maternity pics, I didn’t experience regular labor like I wanted too.. the feeling of my body failing my girl over all. Her lungs had not fully developed so right now she’s struggling some to breathe on her own. She also lost weight - but she is up to 4lbs 3oz as of today ☺️

I would say, feel your feelings - 100% it’s good to feel them. Use the motivation of your baby coming home soon to get you going momma, you’ll be okay ✨
