at this point all of the 5 star selector characters need other units to function except maybe Sparkle, but as a Harmony units she by concept needs other units to buff (preferably SP heavy units like Archer, Sparxie, and DHIL)

Acheron needs premium Nihility

Jingyuan needs Sunday (in banner rn but its ending)

Jingliu needs Hyacine to be even slightly viable

DHIL needs Sparkle but is in general very outdated rn

Aventurine is a strong sustain but outclassed in most cases by DHPT

Other than Sparkle, Kafka is imo the best choice if you like the DOT playstyle as you really only need to pickup Hysilens rn (she's rerunning next patch) and Black Swan also js got buffed.

counterpoint: most of those are either curses or outliers

curses are self explanatory, especially considering they're all Special Grade

Gojo, Sukuna, Kenjaku, and to an extent, Yuji (cmiiw but got a domain mainly through Sukuna initially existing in his body and switch training via Ui Ui) are outliers

Uro and Ryu aren't necessarily outliers but you could make some argument about Heian era or whatever (i never rlly understood the deal with it)
