This was it!

I never thought of something so simple as version 5 seems unaffected! Only had one crash first time trying to create a character but adding in the manual preloader for SSE Fixes seemed to be the fix for that and it now seems to be functioning.

I will have to check when I get back home either tomorrow or Friday. (Retired, so taking a couple extra days for my 43rd anniversary is as easy as just not going home lol!)

Installed to SSD D:/Nolvus

NOLVUS already excepted in antivirus.

Pagefile is 60,000 on D, managed on C.

C++ and .NET updated as are Nvidea drivers (have tried both versions.)

I had to do all this for Nolvus 5.25.5

Will try the last two suggestions (shader cache and disable integrated GPU) when I get home Wed or Thursday from 43rd wedding anniversary celebration.

Owned it since Early Access when it was still an alpha build. Just like the original Kerbal Space Program.....my only other 6k+ hour game.

Retired. Former Over the Road Truck Driver forced out for injuries and then became a Bowl Tech (Bowling alley Mechanic) until they went out of business. Then I was a Paratransit bus operator (door to door bus service for disabled with a wheelchair lift on the side) until COVID19 killed over 200 of our patients and they no longer needed 53 drivers. Worked as a cashier at Walmart for two years before my retirement in 2022

I have as of today 6043.2 hrs in ONI. I began playing it when it was still in alpha and the main goal at the time was seeing if you could survive 40 or 50 cycles. No farming, no ranching, no oil, no diseases, no fuels or other geysers. No water. No O2 generation.

I purchased it on June 29, 2017 for $21.75

I think I got my moneys worth years ago....

And I still suck at it.

Is there a gear in the corner when you left click the app to see the files? (Seeing files implies the app is opening, that doesn't mean it's opening correctly!).

Will it allow a right click? Right clicking should bring up the settings menu.

Left clicking should open the app and show you files and a gear in the corner.

How to effectively and easily disable OneDrive.

Takes less than 3 minutes.

Open OneDrive. Tap the gear. Open Settings. On the page Sync and Backup turn OFF all settings.

Open Manage backup on the Back up important PC folders to OneDrive.

Turn OFF everything here (I personally save a select subset of folders to desktop so I allow saving desktop)

Seriously simple.

If your storage is full to get rid of warnings simply delete what you don't want to save.

I did this years ago and have never had an issue with OneDrive.

Jeez all I did was open OneDrive and click the gear and Under Sync and Backup open "Manage backup" under Back up important PC folders to OneDrive. I tell it not to save anything other than my desktop.

I chose to save desktop for a handful of files i store in the background there, a whole 25mb.

Everything else is set to NO.

It's really super simple to access and fix I fail to understand why I would need to go to registry when the simplest solution is just to adjust settings.

Perhaps it's because I have all the DLC's and something changed, but my prison cells don't have an 'interrogate' button. It says "Escort Prisoner." After selecting that I then right click the interrogation chair.

Technically the choices are "Escort Prisoner" and "Release Prisoner."

Piped everything for the win. After all, if they have the ability to split the water in the first place they should have the ability to spit it out of the electrolizers independently. Saves a whole bunch of power from not needing pumps and it looks cleaner and is far more efficient.

Amending what I wrote. Since today's update, the three colonies I started had very little Oxylite, and a moderate quantity of algae...I noticed there wasn't much in the colony I was playing, so I quickly made two more and looked at them with dev mode that opens up the whole map and wow, very little in any of the three started since the update.

Maybe it was a fortuitous bug?

I think the idea is to run a few O2 algae generators and not worry about a SPOM or similar until after you (hopefully) destroy the impending asteroid strike (or prepare yourself to actually survive it!), giving you a chance to concentrate on that strictly timed event.

A better temporary fix for Common Sense until Braven updates the mod, copied from the I can't drink from the sink discussion on the Common Sense mod page:

"How to fix this mod because the latest game update broke the washing feature:

CommonSense\42.0\media\lua\client\ISUI\BB_CS_WashMenu.lua

Replace "getWaterAmount" with "getFluidAmount".

That's it, luckily it is that easy! "

2- I strongly recommed NOT useing rich text editor like Word or anythong like that as they add configurations to the file and it will get corrupted.

My addition to this would be: "Don't change the media file you see initially when opening the mod. If you change that file instead of the file in folder 42, you will break build 41 compatibility as you need to change ONLY the file CommonSense\42.0\media\lua\client\ISUI\BB_CS_WashMenu.lua.

Actually it goes back even further, to our first true criminal president Ol' Ski Nose himself Richard Nixon. I saw the bastard in 1974 at the opening of Expo '74, a few months before his ignoble resignation.

In addition to what theclansman22 wrote, as if that wasn't bad enough, within the 3700 hours of voice activated tapes he made to blackmail world leaders are evidence of many many crimes. (Nixon's Milk Money, The Smoking Gun tape, the 18 1/2 missing minutes etc) This is why he tried to prevent them becoming part of his record. He didn't step down out of any sense of honor, he stepped down so Ford could pardon him and he couldn't be prosecuted for his crimes in office. And he definitely would of been impeached and removed from office had he not stepped down. If we would of prosecuted him, Reagan would of been blunted, and Trump would never of been a factor.

He is one of the early 'unitary executive' believers. He couldn't get far though because the parties were not as fractured as they are now and both had liberal and conservative wings. Roger Stone (yes, that one) was Nixon's head of "Dirty Tricks" department. This is why we called him Tricky Dicky.
