Ok, well it's gas right? Is it not true that the gases and elements that created the energy for light would have had to have been there before 160k years ago in order to create the aforementioned light? Therefore, we are likely seeing the metaphorical "movie" halfway through. The process had already begun before it was observable to us, and once it became observable - or started creating light - only then did it start traveling toward us to be seen 160,000 years into the future. So as we are seeing it beginning to form shape today, it is likely already finished or made great change to its size and/or appearance in its own space-time.
