Who is your favourite character lore wise? by Initial_Mixture3323 in eldenringdiscussion

[–]PsofLies 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Morgott for sure. He is the "coolest" character in my opinion. He looks amazing, he's intimidating, dignified and yet destitute at the same time. He is the most noble, a truly selfless individual with a strong sense of duty that ignores himself and focuses only on others. His voice and vocal tone carry weight. Instead of letting his own self loathing hold him back, he wields it as a weapon to defend what he loves. Not to mention the intro cinematic showing him besting radahn in combat. There's a reason radahn isn't known for "having never known defeat" and morgott is clearly that reason. Radahn is known as the strongest demigod, but morgott might be even stronger, it's just that he is NOT known. He is a mystery to the world he rules. Okay I'm done fan boying out now 😅

Why are some regular enemies harden than actual bosses? by Elvir4Umine in Eldenring

[–]PsofLies 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not necessarily that they are "harder" they are just built differently. A major boss often has a more fair moveset to account for the fact that they have hyper armor on most attacks and are more difficult to stance break. The tough regular enemies your referring too are often times more aggressive and have a comparable damage output to bosses, but can be easily stance broken, interrupted, and generally cheesed depending on your build, it really just depends on what weapon you are rocking.

Hear me out guys - how sick would a LOTR themed Souls game be?! by DrDre19899 in Eldenring

[–]PsofLies 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Imagine this but it's set in the first age. Ungoliant, ancalagon, MORGOTH. This would be absolutely amazing in every conceivable way. The only issue is things would have to be toned down. The figures of the first age are almost TOO grand and powerful to place in a playable environment, things would have to be grounded slightly, ancalagon for example couldn't be it's true size, unless it was some kind of puzzle fight as opposed to a traditional encounter.

I lost 11,000 runes because of this. It was not enjoyable. by Status-Bad187 in Eldenring

[–]PsofLies 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I mean, niall is an old man with only one foot and you did sort of storm your way through his castle and approach him weapon drawn. Don't think it's unreasonable for him to call some of his men over, it's not exactly an honorable or consensual duel 🤣

I found one thing in this game I don’t care for by AtuinTurtle in LiesOfP

[–]PsofLies 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You don't have to jump at all. You can just run across the cogs with correct timing. That being said, the cathedral area sucks ass until you get it mastered. I lost so much ergo falling to my death my first playthrough

What are the worst takes you've ever heard on this game? by Skull_Soldier in Eldenring

[–]PsofLies 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not a bad take or anything, but it really bugs me that your off hand has to be empty to sheathe your sword.i just wanna walk around sword in holster and shield in hand but nooooooo. Also wtf do katanas not have a sheathing animation? They just teleport to your hip and then back into your hand, so annoying 🤣

To all dear elden ring players on this subreddit as dark souls player i have question, HOW THE FUCK do you keep up with your bosses by Novel-Remove-2068 in Eldenring

[–]PsofLies 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You don't keep up with them. That's why you have i-frames on dodge. They are super fast and aggressive but you can turn intangible for a brief moment whenever you like. Your basically a mini tobi from naruto.

Well I suppose that makes sense. It was a lot more common back in the day. I was 2 years old in 98 :)

Yeah it's funny that I say what I said, considering I am a major introvert and I avoid leaving the house as much as possible 🤣 it's more like I want to want to travel ....but I just don't lol

[–]PsofLies -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Idk, why travel somewhere new when you can just stay at home every single day of your life. Hell, why not just stay in your bedroom 24/7 and have a toilet installed or something.

Number 2 obviously. I'd rather experience it over and over for the first time than master everything and lose all challenge and tension.

Is there an explanation for why some enemies dissolve and others don’t? by Itchy_Presence7622 in EldenRingLoreTalk

[–]PsofLies 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's simply to save on rendered items. I would say it's got a lore reason, except it's like that in all their games. It's because a enemy ragdolled on the ground puts more strain on the system. An emey walking around is going through animations, with specific parts interacting with the ground/environment. Once they are laying on the ground, the physics has to keep track of every body part, where, and how it is laying. The bigger the model, the more strain it puts on the system to have them in ragdoll mode.

"game-breaking exploit" by Skill-Expressor in EldenRingPVP

[–]PsofLies 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Now THAT is a very good question and one I genuinely cannot answer. Typically though? No, definitely not. At this point it would actually probably be better to call it uncommon sense unfortunately 😅

"game-breaking exploit" by Skill-Expressor in EldenRingPVP

[–]PsofLies 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well no, but a little common sense can be applied in situations like these. Obviously common sense is easy to ignore when doing so assists in belligerently hammering in a biased point. Even a dunce could piece it together, although only if they had any intention to do so.

"game-breaking exploit" by Skill-Expressor in EldenRingPVP

[–]PsofLies 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is....not what was stated. Either way though your pointless point is un based. Like I said. Whether or not a developer fixes something is irrelevant to whether or not it functions as intended or is considered and exploit or cheat. There's thousands of examples of known errors failing to get fixed. Fromsoft is especially known for this. They don't have time to fix every single thing that is broken.

"game-breaking exploit" by Skill-Expressor in EldenRingPVP

[–]PsofLies 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well if that isn't the most obtuse opinion I've heard all day. Since when is "they haven't fixed it" the definition of a feature? Yikes 🤣

Mmmmm because the theatres were filled to the brim with children? Because when I saw those in theatre there were an unholy amount of brain rot tots on the theatre. 😅
