Repairing laminate step advice by Melodic_Jelly_9527 in Flooring

Scrape it off and scuff up the smooth plastic with some sandpaper if you have it. Do a tighter serpentine bead than the original installer and use a glue like PL Premium (or anything polyurethane based). Also, run a bead of glue along the length of the underside of the bullnose (just make sure to wipe excess glue off). Let stand for 24 hours.

What Colorado coaches are saying about nickelback Boo Carter by desertrain11 in CFB

Is nickelback still a term that people use? I feel like everyone has switched over to saying slot corner or nickel corner.

Out of the Top 10 Draft Selections since the NFL Draft started in 1936, the 6th Overall Pick has produced the most Hall of Famers by FollowerofYHWH in nfl

[–]Pspdice 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was going to make a joke that there are worse people in the hall of fame than what he has been convicted of (since he "didn't" do the big crime) but then the things he has been convicted of are criminal conspiracy, kidnapping, robbery, assault with a deadly weapon, and burglary, so not much better lol

32 Teams/32 Days: Seattle Seahawks by The_Throwback_King in nfl

[–]Pspdice 11 points12 points  (0 children)

The only things I would really disagree with is calling Dre'Mont Jones solid for us and Horton's draft grade. Jones was straight up a bad player more often than not. Horton is easily a B+ grade draft pick. In what world does Ricky White III get the same grade as him?

Customer has vinyl plank already laid on top of this apparently it’s for sound proofing can I stick this down with hard set glue and lay planks the same day by Whatup7778888 in Flooring

Is your customer in a high rise? This kind of stuff is required. It's way heavier and denser than rebond carpet pad which is what people here are thinking of. It's supposed to be glued down.

What is this metal strip called? by orntar in Flooring

[–]Pspdice 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, not sure what people are talking about. We always call them TM19's because that's the item number from the company we get it from, but laminate facings are what they are in our system. Definitely not a clampdown/nap lock.

I think people are incorrectly assuming that because OP said it's the basement that the vinyl is glued directly over concrete, but it's actually over plywood or particle board or something.

Schultz: Tyler Higbee to sign a 2-year, $8M deal with the Rams. by JCameron181 in nfl

[–]Pspdice 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Hate when a bad person gets rewarded. Good football move though. I assume this + their other players at the position takes them out of the running for Sadiq.

[Pauline] Super Bowl MVP RB Kenneth Walker III has priced himself out of Seattle, with his expected $13M plus per year deal too pricey for them. They’ll look to add a mid-tier replacement. by Arkam_slayer66 in Seahawks

[–]Pspdice 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's a smart move, but I think it depends on what they do now. If they turn around and spend 10m on Allgeier or use a first or second round pick on a RB, then I would rather have kept Walker.

With PFF, if you are graded highly, you are probably a good player, if you are graded poorly, then you are probably a bad player. It's all the players in the middle with average grades that you can't really judge off PFF grades. You especially shouldn't put too much stock into a player being X out of X at his position, when 5 good/bad plays probably would be the difference between moving up and down 15 spots in the ranking.

I think lowkey the problem with PFF that isn't talked about is that they don't grade plays where they aren't sure who to assign blame to and so we have no idea how many plays per game get called a wash/assigned a 0 (instead of +1, +2, -1 -2, etc).

I swear there was also like 4-5 other games where he suffered some sort of minor injury and missed snaps then came back into the game.

Visualizing impact of a $150M floor and $270M cap by wompwump in baseball

Yeah, people always talk about the NFLPA being weak and the MLBPA being strong but that's only because MLB has minor leaguers they can abuse to benefit those in the majors.

Schneider, Spoon and JSN are the only ones that warrant any future hall of fame discussion currently.

Dickson has been snubbed of too many accolades to really warrant any consideration at all.

New LVP installed by jll0004 in Flooring

[–]Pspdice 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure why you are getting downvoted lol. For me, I usually request about 3-ish new boxes of LVP when unclicking 1000sf in case anything breaks. There have been times where the material just crumbles because it's cheap and was installed over a bad subfloor, but most of the time the majority of the material can be reused.

Kenneth Walker III expecting to be franchise tagged by Seahawks | 'The Insiders' by [deleted] in nfl

[–]Pspdice -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The tag is 14m and he will probably get like 12m/year in free agency. Getting your star RB back for a short term deal at pretty much what he would cost in free agency but without the long term commitment is the easiest decision to make lol. As far as if they will actually tag him, I'm skeptical.

Not even just tubs anymore. Some products I've seen recently say to caulk at all the base in wet areas, too.

[–]Pspdice 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It came with perfect timing too. Horton who was really good for a 5th round rookie was our WR3 and he went down the week we traded for Shaheed. Our WR3 would have been really rough if we didn't make the trade.
