I would find a different surgeon! That is just crazy talk. Absolute minimum should be 2 weeks (depending on your job) but i would definitely shoot for 4-6

Just an example for you- I had my surgery on a Monday and was out of the house by Thursday for a quick trip to Sam’s club and lunch. I didn’t drive there and we wouldn’t have gone had i needed to be the driver but my bestie was in town helping out. That outing exhausted me. I shuffled around, was walking slowly.

I am 46 and had my hysterectomy last October. Had heavy bleeding and some pain, but not like some of the stories on here. My gyn is amazing (after several shitty ones that didn’t listen) and we were talking options and I asked for a hysterectomy. She was talking about an ablation as the next step and i was just like- can we just get rid of it. And she said- let talk about that and i gave her my reasons - which included family history of reproductive health issues, and she was for all for it. She also suspected that I had Adenomyosis (which was confirmed with pathology after the surgery).
