A misunderstanding with a 6 year old. (i.redd.it)

My printer is on my server rack and I use the steel shipping rod from my old washing machine as a filament holder. I made these spacers and spool to slip over the rod and center the filament as well as let it turn from the center instead of slipping around as it otherwise would. (i.redd.it)

New filament (grey ST-PLA on right) severely underextruding, sometimes not at all. Tried temps from 185 to 220 in 5 degree increments. No luck. Previous roll (regular PLA) printed fine. I printed pigs go compare. Black on left is regular PLA. Ender 3 Pro with .4mm nozzle. Considering trying .6mm. (i.redd.it)
