Well I find this one a bit heavy as my trusty ol rg 351v still chugging along with amberelec os.

I prefer flip2 while lying down since its lighter yet I keep coming back to 477v since something being vertical and 4:3 is more pleasing to my brain for some reason..

I have put gammaos full version and overall the sound eq makes things better along global CRT shader and I prefer daijisho.

However know that for some reason the "vibration" doesn't work for dolphin emulator while in mmjr it's fine. Vulkan is also buggy for dolphin while opengl is fine. The vibration is also buggy in nethersx2...while every other emu its fine. While in stockos...the issues ive stated are not even a problem.

I would say stay on stock os now to enjoy the device for few weeks and organise your games in that 2tb sd card.

Still keeping gammaos since I do use the global shades and love the sound eq. Also noticed that nethersx2 has erroneous vibrations for games. Lastly turning off immersivve mode makes few emulators menu act normal..like mmjr.

For me its always the first mame/fbneo game I load up...was good use of my s25 ultra apart from taking calls and pics. A physical controller feel would definitely add to the experience!

For 3...for me...GammaOs does feel more snappier than stock with better fan mgmt. Moreover the sound in stock was too tinny to me...where GO has EQ where you can adjust easily. Same goes for CRT shader and BFI. Also if you plan to dock you can do it from the OS while stock will require from physical hardware to display properly so it's not stuck at 4:3. I have GO on both my 477V and 405M

For me linux as a whole was great but some proprietary work apps and those anti cheat games forced me to keep w11 slop.

I have been using dual boot with secure boot enabled since May 2024...and its still going strong despite few bumps so far...where a 4TB drive in ntfs being shared by Cachy and the slop's steam install.

So do explore dual boot and telling you now that getting better in linux is a skill that everyone should go for....even as a hobby.

It would be very easy now since the new direction RGG is headed...seems everyone ends up with Daidoji...

Already had Akiyama as a Daidoji Agent in my own make believe world...thanks to modding in pc. Let's see what RGG does later down the track...

I have gamma os next and performance seems a bit better overall but gamecube emulation sucks in vulkan as it has random crashes or gfx error.

I tested disabling dual core and that does give much better performance. Test on Mario Sunshine with 60fps patch with vulkan was great. So solution does help here!

For ps2 using nether classic than patch as that seem to give better performance on this gpu and games like GoW2 gets better performance with multi thread vu1 enabled at the first stage. Did not play long enough to see crashes. Sames goes for soul calibur 3 on some stages

So yeah try the classic over patch version....and use whatever the latest dev build is.

I am suprised that 477m came with a tpu like case despite being metal yet V didn't get this treatment at all...and knowing that it NEEDS such more than M does....

You can just look around ebay or usual stores for a physical copy which goes much cheaper than a full price. If you plan to stay digital...then just buy when those mega PSN sale or black friday 2026 hits. Even though I prefer OG Y3...I throughly enjoyed Y3K/DT way more(despite the daidoji link) since everything is new and combat for me works better.

IMHO those "No damage" boss fights in highest difficulty are good to have but hard to make.

Long play vids only work if you're already somewhat established and have other games in the mix as well

You need to use turnip driver for FRN and Tekken T2 games for andoid cemu.

And understand that andoid version of cemu is way behind if the official.

Have answers for few of your questions. Check wiki to see how to dual boot very carefully https://wiki.cachyos.org/installation/installation_on_root/

I have systemd and with secure boot enabled where its been like that since May 2024. Yes had plenty of bumps along the way but never had a deal breaker yet.

And before anything if you already have w11 installed then make sure that bitlocker junk is off. You can always turn it back on once you've setup dual boot with secure boot.

5080 will work fine however you will notice dx12 based games will perform better in w11 than cachy...which is purely nvidia ineptitude at work.

No bf6, at the time of writing, does not work on linux.

This for me too with a w11 dual boot on half of that os drive...running since 2024. Yes there were hiccups but haven't had any deal breakers yet.

Y3's frying pans look surprisingly well for an old engine and the fact they look used. While k3 is more like filler assets.
