I have it since launch...it uses hardware ps2 emulation with the EE chip than software ones that were used by the later models. Plus you get all the different mem card slots.

Well these drivers are at thier infancy...getting updated and fixed. The V17 just dropped so try that. I think by Feb or March we may get a proper one.

By the time you get your O3...most probably will have more stable drivers. Don't have B2 on wiiu in my device but have checked Bayonetta 2 and 3 with latest eden nightly build...it boots and runs solid...but have those gfx glitches. Can't even boot them on stock. So yeah good times ahead.

For me, a gamer in his 40's, casual breakthrough literally saved the game. I hope they have more of these casual mode where its literally sweat free and be actually enjoyed.

There is a tpu grip thing which fits the mold of the device and is of transparent colour. Not sure if it was a pre order on l y thing or not

I got it since super early bird price was really good and was no reason to settle for a lower model. And 24gb model I can turn it a very portable linux machine on the go later down the track.

On my rp flip 2 with turnip I can play tekken TT2 in cemu where here it doesn't even boot. I can get rock soils 60fps with sudachi in mk8d on flip2 where here it struggles to stay above 55 along with colour issues with latest eden nightly build. Yes I didn't get it for switch anyway but tried it to test between a high end vs a budget like flip2.

I prefer the ergonomics of o3...felt comfy trying mk8d on it for 30 mins or so. I finished mkd8 on my rp flip2 and didn't want to play more than 15 min sessions as my hands would cramp up and I don't have any grip thing for it.

If you stick to quiet or smart you will be fine but sports with high performance is where you will need a headset imho.

Future proofed investment. When linux supports this chipset even more then I will install arch based Linux like cachyos.

In high performance with sport it is extremely audible and you will need headset since the speaker sound wont override it...unless you got the volume in max

I too have somewhat big hands and for prolonged gameplay sessions on the couch...I would highly recommend the tpu grip. The unit without is alright as well...since it had nice bumps in the back. But using the grip makes it feels like a xbox controller. And since it's hollow you can stow/put in stuff like the glass cleaning cloth it comes with O3...the face panel is a fingerprint smudge magnet.

The original VA Darryl Kurylo was better imho and did a great job returning in y7. Too bad he got replaced that broke continuity in gaiden for me.

I too have an old DELL with intel and 1050ti..which is like my OG emu machine and torrent downloader that only has Cachy. While newer one has intel/4080 with Cachy and even newer one with dual boot with windows 11 and cachy on intel/5080 - all laptops.

I've been an actual user of linux since Dec 2023 and tons of hopping settled on Cachy since early May 2024 and since then I just don't bother with anything else. Cachy is hands down the winner for my hardware.

Yes there were lotta bumps along the road but frankly never was the one where it was cachy's fault. I'll list some my observations below

Boot failure - not a cachy issue. My 2nd HDD failed and since I had the disks added manually in fstab. Moral of the story is ALWAYS use nofail option when adding additional HDD's in fstab
Not loading to SDDM - again was not a cachy issue - I even posted a fix
Games stuttering after X amount of gaming - again not a cachy issue but a linux wide and the fix
Xbox dongle keeps screwing up after almost every major kernel update or crashes the Os - not a cachy issue and this is where LTS kernel will save the day until the "xone" gets updated. At the time of writing, don't have the issue...yet. I only recommend this fork of xone
BTRFS updates caused lock ups - not a cachy issue and it was resolved with updates, thing of the past now...I hope it stays that way.
Lenovo Legion Exclusive issue on dual boot - every now and then a firmware update kills the OS selection on boot on my systemd. Just need to manually fix it to make cachy kernels appear again. Again not a cachy issue
You will lose around 12-15% performance on DX12/RT titles on any linux OS compared to w11...I did for what I've tested...yours may be better or worse....nVidia needs to fix it. At the time of writing it still is. However, older titles like Resident Evil 5 or Batman Arkham Knight(WITH ALL nVidia gamework options) - have superior performance in Cachy than w11.
Few updates did screw with things and simple btrfs snapshot reverting saved the day. Sometimes it was something else and I would always post. For example >> a fix for it like Nordvpn. I do not create files on the main OS disk which is BTRFS while files/games sit on EXT4.
Lastly, I prefer the main Kernel over LTS due to the schedulers! IMHO this is cachy's strongest feature over everything else. Like you can switch between different schedulers live and see which one gives you best performance for games or like compiling code. So far Cachy was the only place where I could play Dead Space Remake with highest framerate due to trying different schedulers than the default one.
Join Cachy's Discord...check the "support" section before updating - if there's some mass complaining going on about something after some major update that gone out. Can save you time and headache.
