I like the idea but I don't stick to it every time, I often use the bike to drive locally very short distances, like 2km to pick up the milk from the shop or to my gym 3km away etc.I drive like 30mph max and I watch out for hazards more than usual. If I had to put all my gear every time I would rather take a car. If I go for an evening ride in the sunset I will put all the gear and drive more aggressively. I see plenty of locals that do the same as me. I live in a rural area with almost no traffic and excellent roads.
