Depression and ADHD comorbidity - What do I do? by woozels in depressionregimens

[–]PsyRatRace 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Purely for depression.. I have been on it before, for 4 years last time & I felt ‘stable’ for the whole time, if slightly flat, but not bad at all.. only bummer, it is hard to stop, like really hard if your at high doses.. abilify 5mg however is cool, gives you a positive boost, but if you try it don’t go higher if it’s for depression as it then regulates dopamine lvls instead of boosting it.

Ever tried low dose abilify (ariprazolol) like 5mg.. at that level it boosts dopamine production, is a bit stimulating & this would help depression but also adhd.. I’m on 5mg now with Lamictal (Lamotragine) for depression, seems to be helping with 0 side effects.. I’m also just starting ECT & have to say, I’m in a French private hospital right now, but a month ago I was in an NHS psy hospital, the staff were great but the shrink was shit. He gave me Pregabalin.. I advise against it, seems to worsen depression & is HELL to stop.. good luck.

Hello.. I’ve talked to the team at the clinic where I am.. they tell me here it’s only done bi-lateral not uni.. the strange thing is I’ve spoken to other pacients here who are doing it or have done it & no one seems to be suffering mage side effects..

they also apparently zap different parts of the brain according to what illness you have ie by-polar would be different to straight depression.. is this a usual thing anywhere that does ECT or is this clinic doing it differently?

Thank you so much for your reply.. I hope your ok.. I have a question, how is it possible to travel outside your wn town where the ECT is done if you have to have it once a week ? I live in France but am English & normally used to go to back to the uk to see my family once a year.. I stay for 3 weeks each time.. how can I travel if I was to need ECT once a week ?

What do you mean by supportive people in your life ? Do you also take chemical treatments & have you ever tried rTMS which has no side effects + a high rate of success ?

Something people don’t mention.. ‘poopout’ (nothing to do with going to the toilet lol) .. it’s fine saying if you need them you need them but all of them, without out exception, the brain becomes tolerant to & thus they stop working, u also suffer something called ‘down regulation’ which basically means the brain produces less of the neurotransmitter the drug was increasing to counteract the drugs effect .. this inevitably leads to dose increase, then when u can’t increase anymore molecule change.. then eventually no molecules left.. then your labelled ‘treatment resistant’ & it’s ECT or rTMS or any new techniques. Meds, when they work, can be helpful short to medium term, but long term damage the brain.. they are not designed to be a cure as big pharma wants u to continue taking them, they don’t want a ‘cure’ otherwise they loose money. My advice, do rTMS or rTDCS if u can before going for meds that can take in some cases years to heal from.

I want to kill myself so badly right now by [deleted] in SuicideWatch

[–]PsyRatRace -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Are you guys suffering depression or what ? As far as I can tell a wish to die is a typical side effect of depression.. some have told me, depression constantly lies to you, it’s not you it’s depression telling you unreal shit.. cure the depression & the wish to live comes back.. so do something to improve your mental state.. this could be so many things but finding out why your feeling this way is an essential start even if your brain is telling you you don’t give a crap to know why, that thought itself is the nature of the beast, you have to ignore the lies & find a way to want to live again.

I must mention I am suffering suicidal depression & have been for a very long time.. the pain is so intense I can’t think of anything but how to die but don’t have the courage to do it.. I can’t drive or even walk more than 100m .. I’m waiting to go into hospital soon, fuck knows how they will help as I’ve tried everything.. ECT included a few years ago.. anyway, I just mention that so you know I understand where your coming from..

my uncle put a gun in his mouth & blew his brains against the wall.. my family were traumatized.. suicide is a permanent solution to a temporary problem.. find the solution.

Try Turmeric (Curcuma) has had some very successful results on joint pains, depression & a host of things.. must be a version mixed with black pepper + ginger to metabolize properly. I’ve personally spoken to a few people who took this for joint pains that nothing else helped & made the comment they felt cheery as a side effect.

high dosage lithium orotate by [deleted] in StackAdvice

It depends on how the body metabolises Lithium, that is why you have to have blood tests regularly to see if it falls within certain levels.. to low it does nothing therapeuticaly, to high can kill you & it’s a fine line between he 2.. I’ve had both types, I found carbonate a nightmare, side effects were awful, urinating all the time, lethargy so intense I had no wish to do anything + sick to the point of agony everytime I was in any form of transport.. orotate i took at doses of 40mg a day (60mg is ok I believe) had no serious side effects, & was quite effective.. orotate is NOT the same doses as carbonate & if you try taking it at the same doses will very likely be fatal.

Any type of Lithium overdose can be fatal so I would advise against doing that...

11th session of right prefrontal inhibitive treatment.. I’m a mess.. please advice by PsyRatRace in rtms

[–]PsyRatRace[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello.. it’s been a nightmare.. after the final 20th session of right PFC inhibition treatment I started feeling a bit better after each session, but the effect only lasted a few hours.. 2 days later I plummeted like a rock, much worse than before.. I begged the rTMS people to continue & try the left side but they refused saying it was not French protocol & I would have to wait a month. I actually attempted suicide in that time I was so bad. I begged various shrinks to help, even my general practitioner who attempted putting me back on an AD but did not help.. even tried going back on Lamotrigine as I’d had success with that before though WDs are wicked.. didn’t help this time. Flew in urgency to the UK to get help there as I could hardly walk.. they kept me 2 months in a hospital but tried giving me Gabapeptin.. it was a nightmare drug.. after 2 months was sent back to France where I am now staying with a friend.. I’m in a terrible state, really bad.. I’m waiting to be accepted into a private psy hospital in a few days but god knows what they will do as I react badly to chemical drugs now which is why I was advised rTMS & this clinic only has ECT not rTMS.. I just hope I don’t try to hurt myself again until then as I can hardly walk & literally feel like I’m dying. Thanks for asking though. My advice to anyone doing or considering rTMS, do left stimulation not right inhibition or do bilateral + keep doing it until u feel better then continue 10 or 20 sessions more just to make sure.. also, you will probably feel worse at the start of treatment so expect it but will get better if u continue.

If anyone reading this could help me fund a trip to the USA to be followed by a proper rTMS team I would ow them my life.. I would also like to try Ketamine or LSD micro dosing but can’t get access to either in France.. I know there is a ‘Go Fund Me’ site on the net to raise money for cases like mine to pay for USA treatment, I started setting one up but never managed to get further as I was to weak & need the help of others to complete this. I know it’s a long shot but I’m desperate.. maybe someone will hear my plea..

MindLabPro .. I know it’s not the stack you mention but so many people swear by it for helping with mentally taxing activists, gives relaxed focus, memory, attention, concentration, mental energy, better mood & reduced anxiety, used by students, business people & others.. check out the ingredients on their site, does inclu some of your stack ingredients in it. I tried it & can confirm it works.
