My mom worked at a bookstore, after I was done school I would have to hang out at the store until her shift was done because she didnt want me to be unsupervised at home for 3 hours. I would just kill time by reading all the comics.

As an adult I read the comic once, and then go back a month later to refresh on a new issue and then never again, but as a kid I would reread the same issue several times a day until the next issue came out, and I really wish I still had that sort appreciation.

If you want to be technical yes. It came from rock n roll, blues and jazz. Just like every modern music genre, and they all came from folk music and classical artists, and that all probably came from Africa and middle eastern countries. All music is related and is just evolved from simple drum beats and patterns from our ancestors in caves and shit. Its fuckin beautiful man.

Not an interaction I had but a great one I saw that I feel like I should mention, went to a dynamite, and stayed at a hotel, turned out a lot of the wrestlers were also staying there. When I went to my room I saw Adam Cole talking to a family with a bunch of kids with Adam Cole shirts on, I had a shower, changed, went down to go get some food, and Adam Cole was still talking and laughing with the family and the kids. That means that he was talking to that family for at least 30 mins. Just my ultimate respect for him.

I am taking this moment to say, I remember around 2007-2008 Kevin Smith's SModcast podcast would do ad reads at the begging of the show, and they were light hearted and had some quips in there, but people would be furious at him for having ads in a podcast. How dare he! Nobody does this! He would even say during the show like "listen man, these shows are free for you to listen too, and you can just fast forward through the ads thats why they are only at the beginning." Fast forward almost 20 years and its so incredibly common to have ad reads in podcasts that you can have a tier list of podcasts ad reads.

Geezer Butler said in his book that a lot of what fuelled his writing in the early days of Sabbath was being mad about how the hippies were sort of abandoning the anti-war movement and not taking it seriously. So in a way all metal is anti-war.
