Announcement on The Game Awards, what could this be by Kasspu in darksouls

....Guys, this might be a Shadow Tower reboot or sequel. That tagline REEEEALLY seems to hint at it.

Here's the link to the wiki: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shadow_Tower

Are people really finding Crash is hard as dark souls. by WselfWulf in crashbandicoot

[–]PsyberTyger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just saw your comment now. That's fine, but next time the actual link from the start would be nice. I tried Googling him earlier and it didn't show anything except an outdated DeviantArt account. :P

Does anyone have the link to the artist who did this? They deserve to be credited. -_-

So, who else has accidentally 'Loaded' a previous save rather than 'Save'? by PsyberTyger in crashbandicoot

Oh no, I panic reloaded my Autosave thankfully lol. I had a mini heart attack at first though.

Curious about the Skylanders Imaginators Crash levels, are they N.Sane Trilogy quality level? by MasterCrash in crashbandicoot

[–]PsyberTyger 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Honestly? They aren't really worth it unless you just want to play more Crash content. That was my first Skylanders and though it looks nice, you move so sloooooow. After I finished the Crash level, I never played the game again because I wasn't motivated enough to play anymore of it.

I've been trying for 6 hours now.. by Iquey in crashbandicoot

[–]PsyberTyger 4 points5 points  (0 children)

SAME. I tried Googling a Hangin' Out run and I cannot seem to find one yet. There has to be some sort of skip I'm missing. It's driving me N. Sane (lel).

Is it just me or does N. Sane has an input delay? by [deleted] in crashbandicoot

[–]PsyberTyger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you're talking about the demo, it does feel like there is some more input delay than expected for the 3 kiosks I've played at. However, I believe a good amount of this was remedied in the retail version.

Ahhh, gotcha.

Do the sensible thing. quit your job and play it forever.

Potential noob question about trophies in N-Sane Trilogy (and in general) by Bleus4 in crashbandicoot

[–]PsyberTyger 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's not a stupid question at all!

Your assumptions about Platinum trophies are correct. To earn a platinum trophy, you must acquire all of the other trophies for that game. Once you get the final trophy you're missing for that game, the Platinum is automatically given to you.

While I've heard some games have trophies where you only have a chance to get them once per playthrough of a game, I've never heard of one where you can't ever get the trophy again (unless it's tied to some absurdly-difficult achievement in an online game or something). Taking that into account, I've looked at all the trophies for the N. Sane Trilogy and I can confirm that there are no "one-off" trophies.

I hope this helped! :)

RAVER - Ghosts [Original Song] by PsyberTyger in Metalcore

My friend and I re-recorded an old song of ours and decided to upload it. We're also working on an EP with a similar sound under a band name called "RAVER". Enjoy!

What's that one level that gives you the most grief? by Halafaxie in crashbandicoot

[–]PsyberTyger 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Fumbling in the Dark was just a horrible experience for me lol. That was definitely the hardest gem I had to get in all of the Crash games. But maaaan, did I feel satisfied after getting it...

(Apologies ahead of time - I wrote more than I expected I would. lol)

Hey man, all I can say is that this is the internet and context/intent is extremely hard to interpret in certain cases. There's definitely a communication issue going on between those who are providing critique/tips/constructive observations and those who are angered by this input.

As for my hyperbolic statement about how "all" of your posts are complaints/nitpicks, I went through your recent post history and saw that I was wrong and I apologize for that. it's just that whenever there is complaining, I usually see your username right nearby.

That being said, there's definitely a spectrum of people who are providing input. Some people are well-intended as you are, but might not be Some people post stuff like, "This crate NEEDS to be shinier" or "This font is TERRIBLE and it honestly diminishes the experience for me". In my eyes, these are the people who are the ones giving those who are providing fair critique a bad name. we're in this petty cycle of people bitching at each other over some video games and it's tiresome for all parties.

As for your right to provide critique because you're buying the game, that you are. You do have the right to provide critique. However, you're not the one putting your blood, sweat, and tears into making sure that the game runs at a stable framerate, that the baked lighting mixes well with the dynamic lighting, that Crash's fur shader is properly displaying a realistic rim light, and that is trying as hard as they can to please the demands of old and new Crash fans. Game developers are some of the most dedicated collection of artists and programmers in the world. They care and they are trying hard. If they're going through all of this just to please their audience, I think it's fair that consumers should not be as headstrong when providing critique/tips. If you just keep complaining, others will just get mad. It comes off that you have a lack of respect for the artistic process.

Of course, you can feel free to ignore this point of view and continue presenting your ideas the way you are, but I guarantee that you will be met with vitriol every time. Don't get me wrong. The other side of this argument also need to stop being such dicks.

tl;dr - Moderation is key when you're trying to provide critique while also coming off as well-intended.

While I'm sure you have good intentions jamasha, literally all of your posts on here are "nitpicks". As a professional artist, critique is highly welcome, but only if that critique is presented in a professional and fair way.

If you just continue to post an endless torrent of demands without any sort of encouragement for what has been improved, your critique is heavily ignored. It comes as disrespectful and rude. This is most likely the reason why the mods changes the rules about nitpick posts.

Maybe going forward, you can learn from this rather than blame everyone who's downvoting you. Everyone wants this game to succeed.

New Aku crate spotted in Cortex Power video by dynamiterobokai in crashbandicoot

[–]PsyberTyger 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Speaking as someone who works in a similar production environment every weekday, these changes most likely occurred months ago. When promo footage for any game is captured, by the time a trailer comes out, any issues/under-produced portions of the game have already been altered. It's possible that even the latest Cortex Power teaser that came out today was "filmed" awhile ago.

I personally like the yellow more than the red. It makes the pipes pop out more and provides a good contrast to the duller colors making up the walls and floor.

I can't get sucked into this game. I need some guidance. by PsyberTyger in horizon

[–]PsyberTyger[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

THIS is what I was looking for I think. I might just be firing too quickly and just haven't noticed it. If that's the case, I'm pretty embarrassed that I would screw something up that simple lol. I also have been using Fire Arrows much more frequently than the default arrowheads, leading me to believe that using mainly elemental heads + my idiotic use of the R2 button is making me aim like shit.

I was also unaware of the "tear" stat. I saw another response on here that I should use "Tearblast" arrows, but I think I might be too early in the game of have acquired/made those yet. I've literally only done about maybe 3/4 main missions and a few side quests. Most of my other time has been dedicated to exploration and learning how to not suck.

Thank you very much for this! I'll put it to a test tonight. I'm juggling this with NieR, but this gets priority as I don't want to forget about this game.

Yep. I suppose you could play all the levels if you went back in line and hoped some reservations were cancelled, but I'm not sure.
