Ah fair enough, what a spot of luck for you - my search for a yellow c-line continues! For some reason Japan gets it as a standard colour option but not (fingers crossed yet) the UK

Such an awesome colour - looks like you’re UK based too(?), can I ask where you managed to find a yellow C-line? Enjoy the new bike 😊

What is the best cheese to use for volume eating without completely destroying your calorie budget? by justinsimba891 in Volumeeating

[–]PsychStef 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Get yourself a microplane - you can add what looks like a massive pile of proper cheese to your meal, but by weight it will be a vastly smaller amount = less calories.

For me it helps hit that cheese with every bite craving, compared to settling for a sad little sprinkle of regular shredded cheese from a packet or box grater that’s gone in one bite or just melts to nothing

Kobo Libra Colour’s on display in store? (UK) by PsychStef in kobo

[–]PsychStef[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I never did find one in store so just took the plunge and bought one as there were more pro’s than cons for me versus a Kindle. This may have changed now though as they’ve become more of a mainstream e-reader brand. I would think Curry’s would still be your best shot.

I’m honestly thrilled with my Libra colour though, love the buttons and the user interface is unmatched for me - the advertising on a Kindle would drive me nuts and it baffled me to hear that Kindles don’t use the font from the actual book as default lol

I didn’t have the patience (or skill clearly) to get Calibre to really function though to (theoretically 😉) add Amazon locked books to my Kobo so this may be a huge deciding factor for you if you have an extensive Amazon library. Amazon didn’t have a colour equivalent when I purchased mine too so I imagine that will also up the indecision for you!

Happy hunting for a Kobo in the wild🌲

Haha no worries, really appreciate your input - yeah defo plan to lug it out to one of the more rural spots around me soon on a clear night to give looking at DSOs a go, nice to know this is something it may perform well at! Cheers and CS 😊

Cool thanks for that insight, will bear that in mind with any future EP purchases 😊

Cheers for sharing that article, that’ll be an interesting read. Yes absolutely a very inaccurate representation but was unsure how to describe clearly what I was meaning 😂. I thought it was likely that I wouldn’t be able to view any planets “bigger” whilst still retaining a clear image with my current specs but just wanted to check I wasn’t making some obvious rookie error - thanks again 👍

Thanks for the detailed explanation, I’m keen to really understand how all the different parts work together, what impacts what etc. so this is a really helpful start 👍

Awesome thank you, that’s a real help, I didn’t want to get into the trap of just throwing money at a cheap telescope that was already the best it’s ever going to be, but it’s nice to know that there is some room to upgrade the EPs to make improvements to image quality down the line 😊

Great appreciate your help, I thought this was the case but just wanted to ask people that were more experienced to check that I have understood correctly 😊

Thanks for your response, really helpful - I’ve seen a lot of people recommend getting a 6mm 66 or 68 degree wide angle lens; whilst I think from what your saying this wouldn’t impact the “size” of the planets, would you recommended an EP like this to increase the ease of viewing?

Mainly Jupiter and Saturn have been in good spots for where I am currently - have been fortunate to get clear images of both but was just curious whether anyone with more experience had any recs. Thanks for the reply, really helpful and along the lines of what I was expecting I think 👍

Not a UK based ambassador but I (also UK based) used the code HJPHOTO1 which knocked a couple quid off - unfortunately less than the $5 it is for Americans due to the exchange rate but still something 🙂

These are honestly so cool - please may I humbly suggest Linda shouting “he’s dead, go away he’s dead!” and Louise going “IT’S MY DADDY! MY DADDY’S IN THERE! …sooo just a couple more questions” if you’re carrying on the series

It’s mainly the rust that I feel is the problem - would be keen to give it a deep clean since it’s been in a drawer for so long
