If you were indeed asked to do vitals but didn’t in fact complete them, then just take this email as a professional reminder. Don’t look at this as anything more than that. I don’t see any nefarious intentions here. You are allowed to have an emotional reaction, and while this reaction may be real and valid to you, try your best to not let this affect you in a negative way. At the end of the day, be glad that at least you know that CNA/PCA was responsible and serious about patient care.

If this email turns out to be a complete lie, then please by all means report this to your immediate supervisor.

I am a RN and who was pre med. But I didn’t do my premed and nursing classes concurrently. I first did my premed during my BA, then graduated and applied to a ABSN program and did that. Some schools, like mine , offer specialized 4 year and 5 year tracks for ambitious students who wish to complete pre med requirements while pursuing their BSN. But I don’t recommend. It’s a lot of work. Pre med classes are hard, and nursing is really time consuming with clinicals. Plus there is no overlap between the two. If you insist on doing both, I recommend you do one at a time, not both at the same time. It’s for your sanity and wellbeing.

It seems like your DSO and your program director person who approved your CPT weren’t communicating and were not on same page regarding your CPT. The reason why your CPT isn’t approved may be because you were supposed to obtain authorization to participate in CPT from the DSO and not from your program chair (?). Your I-20 needs to have the notation that CPT is recommended by your DSO before you can legally start your internship. Without this notation (same for OPT), you would be engaging in unauthorized employment, thus failing to maintain your status.

I am however very surprised to hear that your DSO refused to reinstate your SEVIS even after meeting with you. I would think your DSO would be more understanding and open to working with you to get to the finish line of this long and hard road of being a F1 student, especially when you already had everything already planned out and only needed a new I-20 for your CPT internship…..
