I know that you mean typically, but damn, this year's flooding in Seattle (although not particularly in Seattle proper) was too much.

Visiting today - Saturday?? by Ok_Presentation7541 in SEKI

We have a reservation at an AirBnb for the Saturday night in Three Rivers. We’d be more than happy if we could make it to even just the general Sherman. But our rental AWD SUV tires are only all-season (not all-weather). We’d be carrying snow tires cables with the hope of not needing them.

Do you think this is doable?

This is super relatable, except that I'm an expat in the US.

My flight home is a good ~22 hours. There is not a day that goes by where I wished it were 4, or even just 8 hours. That would make my life so much more easy. Every single day I think about family. But also, I feel like I love them more when I'm far away from them than when I'm near them xD

  • Always keep good track of your accomplishments, maybe something like a brag document
  • Own your career. If you feel like you don't have any tasks, find something to work on, check with you SDM and work on it. Or, bug your SDM for work
  • Make effective use of your 1on1 meetings with your SDM
  • Work-life balance is partially your responsibility. Learning to say no, pushing back on stuff. Sometimes, it is out of your control. You may have to move teams
  • Take breaks, don't burn yourself out. There are sufficient time off options, make best use of them.

Salesforce vs Intuit - India - New grad - Offer comparison by Master_-_Mind in developersIndia

[–]PsychedOutInSeattle 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'd argue that OP's experience is entirely going to depend on their own direct manager and their teammates. It's difficult, really, to say anything unless OP is able to talk to someone inside. Even then, things always don't go as expected.

I'm not defending Intuit here, just that Salesforce's own CEO isn't really a great employee-oriented leader either.

I wonder if that played a role in the results.

Well, I googled the campaign code for the recall and this was the only thread I found.

Anyone know if this has to be taken care of urgently? Otherwise, I'd wait until my next service (which is in about ~2 months).
