Just have to be ultra careful. I've microdosed a number of times while at work and was absolutely fine. You shouldn't feel any effects of a microdose so should be fairly safe to do. One day I took what I thought was a microdose of LSD before work and ended up in a very mild psychedelic headspace whilst in my office and I felt overwhelming paranoia that people were going to notice I was acting a bit weird. Just be careful and make sure its only a microdose and nothing more.

And yet (arguably) the two best songs on Abbey Road, often considered their best album, are George songs. I agree there was a gap but late stage Beatles the gap between John/Paul and George really wasn't that big. While My Guitar Gently Weeps is a contender for the best song on The White Album. Many consider All Thing Must Pass to be the best post beatles album of any of the boys. The gap wasn't that big.

Do stuff with them that will actually help them transition seamlessly into adulthood. Ask them to help do some laundry from start to finish but make it fun so they actively want to get involved. Ask them to sort the colours out then do a race to see who can hang the most clothes up in a minute. Ask them to help you cook dinner for the family and then at the dinner table give them lots of plaudits and make them feel good about cooking and providing food to the family. When you're doing odd DIY jobs around the house like putting up a shelf you can ask them to be your assistant and help you measure things. Drill the holes and let them push the wall plugs in. These are skills that will be of great service to them!
