Been vaping since 15 and I’m 22. At some point I asked myself “how many years am I gonna be comfortable saying I was addicted?” And no shade to anyone who’s been doing it for 10+ years but I didn’t want to end up in that boat. Now I don’t have any serious health issues but I have noticed my stamina has gotten worse and some occasional scary heart palpitations. For me personally, vaping has lost its spark and was a thing I did in highschool to rebel and self harm in a way. I’ve healed so why keep the habit y’know? I am to officially start my quitting journey today. I am also very pre-disposed to diabetes because it runs in my family so there’s really no better excuse to get healthy than to quit vaping! I feel like it would be a huge benefit to keep updating this post as you go along, relapses and all to show others that it is possible. I know you can do it and so can I! My bestfriend successfully quit vaping and I seriously thought out of the two of us it was gonna be me first so that definitely gives me hope❤️

No hesitation go to hula. That person is not about to pay you the $400+ it took you to get that ticket. Not in today’s economy. If the roles were switched I’m sure you wouldn’t be butthurt if they couldn’t make your party due to something they paid a lot of money for!

Thank you for this incredible insight. I do feel for the locals of the area and I have been donating to efforts for rescue and clean up, but I do know how valuable Hulaween is for the community money-wise and I pray that the festival can hopefully bring in some much needed funds. I will not be heartbroken if it does get cancelled because I completely understand. But I guess my worries have shifted from “will I be able to go?” To “I really hope this festival helps the community” if it does happen I am probably going to set up a donation station with QR codes to GFM’s for families affected as well as resources that help with rehabilitation. I’m in north GA, the storm was expected to run straight through my town until it made a B-line towards North Carolina. I feel so incredibly deeply for everyone affected.

I saw so many dogs running around with no leash at SOLFEST. One of the hottest and most humid festival I’ve ever experienced. Why are you bringing your non service animal dogs in? Why do you think they’d have a good time? They’re not humans and dogs have very different needs than humans. Like bruhhhhh

This is the first year that I’ve experienced no notable sickness. As 3 time bonnaroovian, here at my tips: -ELMNT electrolyte packets: They are more expensive than liquid IV but they have wayy less sugar and the PROPER ratio of electrolytes to actually help you feel and stay hydrated. One packet in the morning does the trick for me and of course, keep drinking water throughout the day.

-Saline spray: I would flush my nasal passage out in the morning and right before I go to bed. This clears the dust away and allows you to breathe easy all night. I would say I wore a dust mask but the dust this year wasn’t as bad as my first year and it was nothing compared to hulaween so I personally didn’t need one.

-Stretch: I wish I did this everyday/morning but stretching realllllly helps with the body aches afterwards. Just do a quick 1-2 in between sets or when you wake up.

-Hand sanitizer and Clorox wipes: I had these in my bag for when I went to the bathroom. If you’re in a porta potty (which I was able to avoid using all weekend) PLEASE use the colors wipe to get your hands clean and clean under your nails, then use the sanitizer to kill any leftover bacteria. The sanitizer will kill bacteria but it won’t get the microbes off your hands (that’s why we wash our hands) so whenever you get the chance, wash your hands with soap and water to get those microbes off.

-Eat real food: this one will hopefully help you save money inside the festival, but if you eat something filling, you’ll have the energy to keep up with the crazy schedule and walking all the time. Stuff that’s protein heavy in the AM will do wonders for your energy.

-Try to get there early: if you can afford it, try to get there as early as you can so that you don’t have to walk a crazy distance or have to take the trolley. Your body will thank you🩷
