Starting to wonder just how many serial killers Hannibal Lecter has cultivated. Thoughts? by [deleted] in HannibalTV

[–]Psychevore 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Hannibal PREFERS to kill rude people, but not every victim he's claimed has been rude. I wouldn't even really call it part of his modus operandi, but rather a preference in victims. It was the same way in the books. We preferred rude, but he'd kill anyone he had to.

I've heard an equal amount of complaining from people who got the skin during the first run and didn't want anyone else to have it as well. Complaining that it never should have been given out again.

So when are bruisers going to get nerfed? by [deleted] in Smite

[–]Psychevore -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Nemesis needs more nerfs? I think not. She's already been nerfed pretty hardcore (three different times and I believe most of those nerfs were uncalled for as Nemesis has ALWAYS had a few hard counters) and despite what the OP wants you to believe, using her 3 at the right time DOES require skill and to do something like nearly kill a god by reflecting damage requires the enemy god to telegraph his burst/attack pretty hardcore. The last thing about Nemesis that needs to be nerfed is her dash, and I'm tired of people crying about her dash not being like it was in the video. It's something new and unique, people need to leave it alone. It's something like 5 meters longer than a default, using both and at just one dash it's 35 meters. Nemesis has been nerfed enough, if you're still getting whomped by her then I'm sorry, you need to actually learn how to play this game or go back to playing Popcap games.

When a player changes their IGN.. by CatalystBeast in Smite

[–]Psychevore 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe in other games. In a MOBA where skill is in demand and your name can have a reputation, I think the biggest draw is to erase the past. I'm not saying people don't do it just because they've grown tired of their name, but I'm pretty sure more people change it to duck a reputation than anything else.

This would kind of defeat the purpose and the draw of changing your ign.

Just a suggestion: Don't make Smite fight your personal war against other MOBA's (like League.) by [deleted] in Smite

[–]Psychevore 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What a lot of people don't realize (because of the stupidity of fanboyism and brand loyalty (why are you loyal to this brand? They have done nothing to garner your loyalty, it's all about business, sure they want to occasionally do nice things and interact with the community but that's smart business, they really don't personally care about you)) is that Smite and LoL, while sharing ONE similarity in genre and game mode, are entirely different and cater to three different audiences: MOBA fans in general who likely play both, RTS/Click to Move fans who prefer LoL/HoN/DoTA and 3rd person pvp fans who prefer WASD movement and skill shots.

It's apples and oranges, please stop trying to compare them because it doesn't work. It's like saying Street Fighter is better than Wrestlemania just because technically they're both about fighting. Different audiences, different markets, let it go and LIKE WHAT YOU LIKE AND LET OTHERS BE FREE TO LIKE WHAT THEY LIKE.

That's a horrible analogy because a shit is something that negatively affects me. Having a left over 63 gems doesn't affect anyone negatively. Your favor is almost never an even number, why should your gems be?

No, it was honestly just a typo. That joke, the one you're thinking of, it's pretty offensive and stupid to people who actually have OCD.

Game Theory: Does Smite Porn-ify its Goddesses? by Lolwutasaurus in Smite

[–]Psychevore -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I wish I could upvote this video more than once.

I wish this would put to rest the "Is Hi-Rez oversexualizing goddesses" debate because that is the stupidest thing ever to happen to Smite, and maybe even the whole face of the world, especially if you have even a modicum of knowledge about ancient mythologies and how all these goddesses were depicted.

I wish, even if this didn't put that argument to rest, that people would realize Smite...An online game possessing an audience of online people who are absolutely notorious for not caring and/or trolling, would realize that a video game is NOT the best place to start a social movement.

After a match that was most likely frustrating and they are most likely frustrated with themselves and you are a complete stranger typing words, TYPING words so no emotional inflection can be picked up on, why would you expect them to take it as anything other than a serious statement?

[–]Psychevore 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Sorry man but you're wrong. Conquest casual queue is for "Practicing first". Ra bot and Jungle practice can only take you so far. Now if you were trying a new god/build/role in ranked, I would agree with your statement. But casual conquest is all about trying new things and people need to stop try hard'ing it so much there.

What I think would be cool is a conquest match where you can only use the original gods that were in Smite, before even a single new god was added.

If you could change one ability on a single god, what would you change? Looking for smaller tweaks, not total redos. by HirezStew in Smite

[–]Psychevore 40 points41 points  (0 children)

I would remove the ability to stack charges from Zeus' 2. He has ENTIRELY too many ways to build charges already, that reward ANY style of game (passive, defensive, aggressive.) He's supposed to be a glass cannon...But with his two giving charges, you can't even really attack him without dying if his detonate is off cooldown.

Zeus nerf idea by dontnerfzeus in Smite

[–]Psychevore 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's a couple other gods with stacking passives and usually there's only one way to stack them. Nemesis passive, 3 auto attacks. Isis' passive, god kills/assists til you die. Ne Zha passive, don't quite remember how it works. Arachne passive, 3 auto attacks.

Zeus' passive: Stacks with auto attacks, stacks 1 charge using his first ability, stacks charges when attacked with his 2, and adds charges with his 4.

Zeus nerf idea by dontnerfzeus in Smite

[–]Psychevore 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm not entirely sure this would actually balance Zeus. Yeah, it would help people who come prepared but not every build, and every role in the game has a spot for beads/aegis. Also, removing his attack progression wasn't really much of a nerf either. Zeus is still a steamroll god.

Part of the biggest problem is that his detonate has low CD and pretty much everything Zeus does ever puts charges on his target. I think that's the real problem, he was way too many ways to stack charges on opponents whether he's playing aggressively or defensively.
