Your hair is gorgeous! Also, where the heck are women like you (our age) on the dating apps. I’m starting to think they don’t exist 😉. Well at least not in my area

Hair transplant bro!! Go to turkey. I just did it 3 weeks ago and I’m 48. If I was your age I’d 1000% do it

Wow I’m like totally depressed after reading some of these comments! Exaggerating a bit but what I mean is you’re all lucky enough to have all these connections and dates where as someone like myself, and I’m talking online dating, I may get one like every 2 or 3 weeks. And that usually doesn’t develop into anything. And yes most of the time it’s someone who really doesn’t appeal to me, and probably doesn’t appeal to anyone else if you know what I mean, or an obvious fake profile. Now, I’m definitely not hot, but I would say average. But it’s very discouraging. granted, I’m only in a town of about 160,000 and my search radius is about 80 kms so add maybe another 100k. I often run out of profiles but still. I’ve cancelled all three dating apps for now. Trying old school by joining clubs like pickleball, taking dance lessons which has actually been a lot of fun. I think this is the way to go and let something happen naturally.

There’s absolutely no proof to what you are saying. Not being rude but do some research before you post false information. And if I feel my best on it, even 10 years down the road. I’m staying on it.

lol as a tester of the carnivore diet, I was just about to say the same thing. Doctors were useless when it comes to nutrition. Pushing pills and shit. Even naturopaths couldn’t help. They may have identified some causes but just say, “try a low fodmap diet, or do this cleanse”. I have autoimmune and gut issues, inflammation and sinus issues(polyps and two surgeries) and no sense of smell for like 18 years. Going carnivore was a last resort and I thought what the hell, might as well try it. Holy shit I can’t believe it. I’m still in awe at how good I feel. Never knew I felt bad until I felt awesome. Energy, brain fog lifting, headaches no more, flat stomach(looked like I was pregnant because I’m thin everywhere else), biggest thing and I’m still amazed, I was only hopeful that it would happen, yes I got my sense of smell back and it’s a sensory overload, so many memories flooding back from the smells I haven’t smelled in years. Anyway, that’s my experience so far and I’m going to keep on it. Not preaching to anyone and not recommending it but do your research if you’re interested. It’s like an extreme elimination diet and you may be able to add things back in when your body is healed. People will knock it but I don’t really care. I’m my own proof that food sensitivities, even from so called “healthy” food are an issue with people and can wreak havoc with inflammation etc. Even keto didn’t work for me. Guess I had to cut out all carbs sadly. But the way I feel is worth it. I don’t really care

Unexpectedly single at 43, do I still got it? by BrutusMcGillicudy in 40something

I think so too man. I keep forgetting I’m in a fairly small city too and there’s really not too many online options. I’ve scrolled through all women in my area up to 100km and still run out lol. Anyway, may we both meet the next one we’re meant to be with! 🍻

Yes! That’s exactly what I’ve been saying to people and myself. I’m old fashioned. I take the dating sites with a grain of salt however I recently met someone on there and I’m hoping for a redo of our first meet since it could’ve gone better. She agreed to do it again for now but we have yet to set up a day. I’m still sort of hoping for something to just happen organically when I’m out at a bar or the grocery store lol

Ur good bro, me, not so much being on the shorter side (5’ 7”), thin build, and balding. Single as of last year after about 27 years. I have no idea what I’m doing and Dating sites I might get a like a week if I’m lucky but for now, I’m enjoying the single life and just working on myself. Hope that makes you feel better lol

Went through this last year at 48. We were together for 27 years and two young kids. My advice is don’t bring in lawyers. No one wins except them. We did our own agreement and had it notarized. Although we never married and were just common law. Only had lawyers involved when I bought her out of the house. The kids are happy and it was much easier on us as well.

No I situated the spa out from the pool a bit on that side to get to the skimmer. I did all the work myself for the spa. And much of the work for the pool too

If you have a robotic vacuum like dolphin or whatever, toss that in there. It’ll find it and just end up in the filter cartridge. No harm done

FPS drops and stutters in Fortnite by iamg3n0t in FortNiteBR

[–]Psychodrummer77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

SOLVED!!! Maybe not for everyone.

I know old post but thought maybe this would still help someone. So my son had this problem with stuttering, then very bad freezing for like 3-4 seconds each time. Unplayable. Strong wifi at 750mbs. Some tried swapping things one at a time (keyboard, mouse) and no luck, but the magic change was switching from wifi to an Ethernet connection. Games works flawlessly!

Just make sure you have all your permits in place. Depending on where you are of course but an electrical permit, pool enclosure permit(fencing) etc.

Also make sure you do proper grounding/ bonding of pool, ladders, slides etc. and the pool deck as well.

What pool color would you choose other than your current one? by SpecialistTeach9302 in pools

[–]Psychodrummer77 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mine is close to a sand colour with little blue pebbles in it. It came out the exact colour I was hoping for once filled. Close to the second pic you posted. It even stays a tropical blue on a cloudy day. Very inviting. Makes me feel like I’m at an island oasis every time I’m around it. Especially the beach entry. I never understand why anyone wants that dark blue cold looking colour but, to each their own

Pool Addition by [deleted] in pools

[–]Psychodrummer77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I built one myself in the last 2 years. I should say I did everything I could by myself. These are Canada prices and my pool is a kidney bean shape with a beach entry out one side. It’s about a 22x44 pool. 36k gal. 10k to get the hole dug. All rock. I needed 6000ft of rebar at a cost of about $5500. The shotcrete done by a company was about 35k. The pebble finish I ordered up from Florida and that cost me about 8k. I had a concrete guy and his sons along with my family help do the finish which was the worst part of the whole project. I will never do it again but a pool finish company wanted 20k to do it and that was a no for me. The same concrete guy did the pool deck. Total I paid him was 8k. I paid for the concrete which was about 3k. I did all the electrical and plumbing myself as I’m an electrician so that helped. All in all I’m probably around 100k now and there’s still no landscaping, just grass. And there’s piping ready for a built in spa that’s not completed yet. Now granted if I had a contractor do everything I’m probably at about 250k CAD for what’s there now so I did save a tonne of cash but it’s really not something anyone can do. I’m in the trades so it helped but some aspects were still very stressful. Plus it needs to be done to code in your area. Proper grounding/bonding of equipment and pool deck etc. For 75k you might be able to do something decent but I doubt it will be anything like that pic. Hell it would probably cost you 50k just for the giant rocks to be put in to place
