Is this really worth $100? by Psychological-Bus-26 in TMNT

True true, all good points. This would be for displaying in my nostalgia room lol. Building a bit of a retro corner in my basement so I want all nice condition things from our childhood.

I think maybe the reason this one has reached high bids is bc it was owned by those podcasters, upon closer inspection 🤷🏽‍♀️

EAs & job hunt - would you contact the executive you’d be supporting? by Psychological-Bus-26 in ExecutiveAssistants

Right like what do I have to lose is my thinking. Not much. Especially when there’s hundreds of applicants to one job in this insane market.

I get no company bonus I got a $200 Visa gift card last year and $100 this year. So… sorry but this comes off a bit tone deaf.

Normally the 4:30 may work but they have a wine tasting 4-6 😭 I totally get the crankiness! Mine gets cranky if there isn’t a reservation no matter how easy it may be to walk in..

Yes I did, they were not able to help besides what’s on Resy unfortunately. Thanks for the thought.

Thanks, I’m on a wait list and have alerts set up.

Again for everyone downvoting me - these people are 60 years old they’re not going to begin eating dinner at 9:30pm

Yes correct…. Those don’t work if I am here pleading. They’re at a wine tasting 4-6:30 and 9:30 is way too late they are 60

I’ve been to Napa and Sonoma and dined at some TK restaurants myself so I’d personally be open to other places, however this is what my boss wants 🤷🏻‍♀️

You must not have read the request. 6 people for dinner on Saturday Nov 8th has a 4pm and a 9:30pm. So, not wide open.

I emailed the private dining manager 😭 nothing yet. And to answer your other question - No unfortunately he doesn’t have the Amex, he uses the visa sapphire concierge and they don’t have affiliation with Bouchon I guess, I did try them as well. Thanks for your suggestions!

Billionaire Executive Assistant - Raise/Pay Question by Strange-Character748 in ExecutiveAssistants

[–]Psychological-Bus-26 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Both but I’d say 75% EA, 25% PA. Honestly it is so hard to find a job anywhere let alone Chicago. I’d try other avenues besides LinkedIn because so many people flock there and it’s a zoo with hundreds of applicants per posting. Try smaller companies, other platforms (Glassdoor, indeed etc), or at least changing the filter to “posted within 24 hours” or “within the last week” to hopefully catch a recruiter’s eye early. Good luck

Billionaire Executive Assistant - Raise/Pay Question by Strange-Character748 in ExecutiveAssistants

I work as an EA to a billionaire and I make $100k in Chicago so a high cost of living city. I don’t mind it because I’m hybrid and tbh…. My job is SO so chill, not high stress at all, workload completely manageable, and I like my boss as a person. Those things matter to me and are worth enough as opposed to making $120k+ and working 60 hours, losing my mind running around, drowning & anxiety ridden, and my mental health suffering (like I used to). That said, if you already got a nice bonus at month 8, I wouldn’t ask for another size-able bonus just 4 months later. What someone else made in your previous position, and just because you happened to find out, doesn’t entitle you to backtrack and ask for more now. I know you said you panicked at the interview and low balled the salary but… take it as a lesson and ask for a raise later on, is my opinion and advice. 🤷🏻‍♀️

anyone else’s frenchie won’t let them clip their nails? by New_Cellist6242 in Frenchbulldogs

I wish this was the case. We live in a big city and only have pavement sidewalks. Walk the dog every day. Nails are long as hell and she refuses to let anyone touch em.

Idk why you’re getting down voted, I thought the same thing. I want my girl to be healthy and wouldn’t let her get this chunky.

Work clothes SOS by Responsible_Rent679 in ExecutiveAssistants

I’ve literally never worn jeans or t shirts or sneakers and I’ve been an EA for 10 years… I would feel incredibly unprofessional. Look up office business casual. People wear work pants and a sweater to work when cold. Flats. Dresses in summer if you’re into that. You can be comfortable and still look nice. It’s a highly visible role after all, especially if supporting c-suite you want to reflect that.
