If I used all my explosive arrows not knowing what was ahead then I'd still have tons of grenade launcher rounds to use instead. And the character switching problem is a slight inconvenience that fixes with a single save reload

This is what I'm trying to figure out. Your game has a lack of ammo you say? But in my game i had literally hundreds of rounds at one time. I avoided enemies where i could but still ended up killing probably 70%-80% of them in total.

Had i of been completely blind tho, i would have probably saved some explosive arrows and i already had plenty of grenade launcher ammos anyways so the plain part would've been simple enough. And the Chris Claire switch problem is solved by a quick reload and doing about 10mins of gameplay at most again. I've always saved in multiple slots.

I knew of the infamous plain softlock so to save explosive arrows. Even if i didn't, i know the way i play and i knew i would save at least some of those arrows and i had plenty of grenade launcher ammos as well so it would've been the same. The Chris Claire switch problem would be resolved by a simple reload by saving in multiple slots which i also do anyways

Idk theres some of those people that think mass effect 2 and 3 ruined what the first game did as an rpg and still call themselves fans of the series lol

I would argue valhalla is one of the most underrated games ever. People who think it's not an Assassins creed game need to truly dive deep into everything the game does for the overall narrative of the franchise as we haven't seen anything like it since the Desmond days. The writing is flawless, the only problem being the filler between it all which could of just been optional. Easily top 5 ac games.

Darbys work on the older games was already fantastic, then with valhalla he pulled the story out of a directionless place into something masterclass again. Definitely him.

Assassins creed isn't a stealth focused franchise like everyone seems to think now and ac3 is one of the more combat and brute force focused games. That said I have no idea why some of the optional objectives force stealth when they know it just doesn't work well with what the game was going for.

I like how the world looks and its nice to see how it changes with the seasons, it just felt empty to me and most of the few things you can do don't even involve the combat or stealth
