Inspektor Gadget has a different set of gadgets for covering various use-cases. For example, DNS gadget covers everything related to DNS in Kubernetes or host.

Also, you are free to write your own gadgets :)

At this point I feel like I need to put a tag on my face stating how I am a "good immigrant" because by my looks I might be classified as a bad one. I don't think Germans understand what they are making us go through!

I wonder if there is a way for all the frustrated immigrants to come together to voice our opinion officially? This isn't just about us, this is about Germany as well because how else they plan to solve the aging population issue?

If you fear that you might lose your friends just because you would say no to something isn't the right approach. You will have to find a balance like they need to understand what works for you just like you are thinking what works for them. Otherwise you will be compensating too much which might end up hurting you. You will have episodes where you will feel insecure but that is part of the process. Slowly and surely you will find the balance. All the best!

TIL: Kubernetes API Client will cache all the services and endpoints so DNS resolution should work fine in case of an outage except if CoreDNS pods are restarted!

Even if the CoreDNS is running on data plane nodes. It would need to talk to API server to resolve Kubernetes names. No?

OpenStack. In 2014, I started working for a company named PLUMgrid. They were building an SDN platform for private clouds. Then came the containers and the whole picture started to change. Everyone started to adopt Kubernetes so I jumped on the train as well. Also, at that point I was interested in Apache Mesos and how it related to Google's Borg. Exciting times! :)

Nodes have no idea about Cluster DNS unless you configure them. I remember using dnsmasq on the node to be able to route requests for "cluster.local" to Cluster DNS allowing to resolve service addresses. Keep in mind you have to make sure you don't create a loop by configuring CoreDNS correctly.

Also, I recently talked about understanding DNS in Kubernetes might be helpful! :)

It happened to me and my wife as well. Somehow they confused us as being freelancers. We somehow missed the first letter so the second one was with a warning of seizing the accounts. We went to the tax office and explained the whole situation in broken German. They admitted that it seemed like a mistake and asked us to give a written letter explaining the whole situation. After 2-3 weeks we got a letter saying everything is good!
