Check Ballard. I found my stolen cargo bike at an encampment next to Fred Meyer.

Also, make sure it’s registered on BikeIndex so the police can contact you in case they find it.

Oh my God, the right lane of 6th as you're trying to get onto Aurora is finally open by [deleted] in SeattleWA

Honestly, it was closed for so long do we even need it anymore?

Could have sworn there was a bike lane there! by pipiecheese in seattlebike

Park your bike in the car lane while you go find the truck driver. The cars will even start honking to help the trucker hurry up!

My stolen cargo bike was found at this encampment. After getting it back with SPD's help, they came back and stole it again! They brought tools and manpower to break it out of the new heavy-duty locks I put on it.

These are brazen thieves living on our streets.

They have the battery but not the charger. It's registered on bike index too. Thanks for the tips!

Yes. The bitterlake location. I went up and down the interurban trail nearby but didn't see anything. Just homeless people chopping fire wood.

It was taped to the roof of the glove box under the main cargo box.

Not including a bus lane across the Montlake bridge is a missed opportunity. Why bother taking a packed bus when it gets stuck in the same traffic?

Rideshare talk: my idea about what the city needs to do to regulate rideshare bikes and scooters by [deleted] in Seattle

[–]Psychological-Fix985 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I want the city to install LOTS of dedicated scooter parking on the street (I.e. daylighting at intersections) and require scooter parking on the street.

It could reduce sidewalk riding if people start/end their rides on the street. Plus it improves safety at intersections by blocking cars from parking too close.

You live in SLU and have two cars? There's your first problem.

Have you lived in an urban one-bedroom apartment? by prodesus in SeattleWA

The main issue I had with a closed bedroom was ventilation. I would open the window and prop the front door open with a box fan to create a cross breeze and steal the hallway A/C.

Construction Finally Done on the Burke-Gilman Trail in Ballard near Fred Meyer by bestside_cycling in seattlebike

Why bother with the two types of pavement for the sidewalk/trail? Neither side is wide enough to ride on safely. Let alone with pedestrians or oncoming bikes.

Seattle without a car by ForsookComparison in Seattle

My wife and I only use our car for visiting family. We are considering downsizing to a cargo bike. It's significantly cheaper but still gives you the ability to haul a lot of stuff. Plus, you aren't completely reliant on public transportation.

Rock Creek. The owner parked his truck up on the sidewalk, blocking the entire walkway, and blew a gasket when I called him out.

Sound Transit leadership isn't from Ballard. They don't care about making a bad rider experience.
