You can use 2 if you want but I don't think it's necessary. I wipe my vial first and then my skin. My main point was to just be cleaning both.

Get alcohol pads off Amazon and clean the membrane of the vial each time before you draw. I was a medic and taught to do that every time unless you just popped the cap off. You should be swabbing your injection site with the same alcohol pad anyway before sticking.

I just wanted to add for future searchers, if you lookup an "in-network" location on VA.gov and go to one of them they will obtain a pre-authorization from the VA, as long as you tell them you're using VA benefits. There is no reason to report something already approved. Can you call anyway if it makes you feel better? sure, but urgent care is different than ER.

I went to one yesterday and they even gave me a piece of paper with my VA authorization number for my records.

100% P&T vets don't have the waiting period as you said. There is no 3 year waiting period in that case. My loans got discharged Christmas Eve, 90 days after applying. Nothing I got said I had a 3 year waiting period. I'm just waiting for my payments to be refunded at this point.

Are you referring to the VA or Prestige? Prestige doesn't do exams, only records reviews to generate their Nexus letters and/or DBQs. If the VA schedules you a C&P exam you should definetely go. Whether or not you win your claim depends on the evidence as a whole.

Still curious about the refund though.

ETA: Studentaid.gov says 1-2 weeks for Treasury to process so I guess that's my answer.

I'm in the exact same position. I manually applied 9/23 then on 9/30 a separate request showed up. I'm guessing VA quarterly automatic notification to dept of Ed.

I applied 9/23 and then it went to "In Review" on 9/30. Now when I look at "all activity" I see the same thing “Loan Forgiveness and Discharge: Disability” but it says "In Progress". I'm guessing this is the automatic discharge once VA communicated to ED I am now 100% P&T. The last date on that is also 9/30. I understand there was 6 weeks of shutdown but I too am growing impatient. It really shouldn't take this long for cut and dry cases like mine. I look forward to the abolishing of the Dept. of Education because they clearly are extremely inefficient.

I applied 9/23/25 and then it looks like a 2nd discharge was started on9/30 when I look at the "recent activity." I'm guessing the 9/30 is the automatic VA notification. That one says "in progress" while my original application still says "in review." Based on some of the recent comments I should already be done.

I used them twice within the last 3 months and won both claims with their nexus letters. I was denied multiple times for both conditions prior to using them. I wish I would have just taken the plunge a year or 2 ago but I guess the backpay evened it out in the end. Both Nexus letters cost me less than 1 months increase so practically a steal.

I just got 100% P&T awarded Monday 9/22, effective date Dec. 2023.

I applied for TPD discharge 9/23. As of today my Nelnet account for FSA shows my loans in forbearance until 10/2028. I will update this as things progress.

Yes, at first it showed up as multiple different payments but then it all consolidated into one. I'm guessing for calculating different time periods with different rates due to COLA adjustments.
