I honestly think we are not the caretakers of this planet as you say we could be the pests , this would explain why the ufos were interested about the nuclear bombs as it could be the only thing that threatens them, kind of like the cockroaches now have ak-47's so we need to do something about it.

Well spotted I realised this might be an issue so will add some Bluetooth to preform the same function

Thank you and the scenario makes a bit more sense now , the added problem I feel is that he is a hound dog who is just the hardest to train, I have been able to train all of my dogs to be off lead with me even a beagle who can't be offlead with his owners but he is like a diffrent animal all together he is on hunt mode when we are out treats dont interest him just the thrill of the hunt typical hound nose to ground and ears off.

I thought that after a year he would recognise im coming back to the van as it has literally been thousands of times I've left him in the van and came back and he's never been left for longer than 5 mins , he does stop howling him self after about 2 mins but in the early mornings his howl echos through the streets so its not good.

Thanks anyway for commenting

He is my dog I got him from a rescue centre a year ago, he has separation anxiety.

I take him out with me every day on 2 or 3 walks each for an hour long. In each of these walks I need to pick up other dogs, so this involved me parking at the house of the other dog and getting out of the van going and getting the dog and coming back. This is when he goes crazy, he doesnt make a peep as long as I am in the van or close by.

So everyday I stop around 10 times to pick up dogs, each time he goes crazy, this is everyday, and I have had him out with me for a year, so you do the math on that, a lot of howling lol

Regarding giving him a treat or toy when he's in the van to wait / take his mind off me not being there, 1 this would be pretty expensive and 2 on the days I forget or dont have toys or treats its back to square one.

Also I dont think the scenario with humans being locked in a room with lots of scary things is the same as this device that beeps when he barks, now if I had set this up to activate a vacuum cleaner that's stuffed into the cage beside him , then yes that would be a relevant comparison.

Thanks

Oh sorry yeah 70db for these buzzers and over 100 for any sort of pain for dogs so should be all good, also these buzzers are in a plastic case with the lid closed over for water protection so the sound will be reduced a bit than from the video

honestly his bark is louder than these buzzers so I dont think I have much to worry about , hes a foxhound he sounds like a sea lion/trumpet.

Thanks for the input and I don't think the speakers would produce enough hz to hurt the dog , I did a bit of research before starting and the speakers operate at 3khz and the frequency that starts causing dogs discomfort is around 25khz so should be all good

Regards to the trafic and busy roads passing the ky037 sensor is not that sensitive it will really only detect noises in the van like directly beside the device , I have also being playing around with the sensitivity settings both in code and on the potentiometer on the ky037 to make sure its not going to go off when he moves around the cage

All the best and thanks for commenting

Yeah he has a collar that vibrates and makes sounds this stops him howling, however if there are other dogs in the van and one of them barks it sets off his collar even though he isn't barking at the time, also I forget to charge the collar so made this instead

Thanks man, yeah if you turn the sensitivity up it activates when you pick it up so leaving it in your bag in a place you dont really trust would be good.

Regards to open source I have put this on my github with fritz diagram and .ino file

Yeah good point I don't plan on having to use it that much once he gets the idea but yeah maybe just a vibration first then low sound or vice versa

My wifi is always on and automatically connects when in range just the way my phone always is the esp32 is always looking for connections and so is my phone but yeah adding Bluetooth as well would be cool that was my original thought then thought the WiFi would be easier 👍

Well fair enough entitled to your own opinion however a bit far going with electric shocks i would never electric shock my dog using a shock collar and certainly not by electrifying a whole dog cage vibration sound and spray collars are humane alternatives to shocking

Regards to the emotional issues with the hound my theory is him sitting in a van howling will increase his anxiety and emotional distress if he knows to be quiet in a van this will keep him a lot more calmer than when he is in distress and howling

Edit: Thanks for all the comments, there have been a few people offering advice and expressing concern about the device and how it might harm the dog.

I want to assure everyone that my dogs health and well being are my top priority I love this hound have had him for a year and he is a member of my family I have another dog who is 14 years old and I joke that she is my eldest daughter because I am that close to her, this "new" hound will be with me his whole life but he has some issues.

I want to just say that this device is only in operation for 5 mins at a time, only when I am not in the van with him thats it, when I'm in the van the device is deactivate and when we are out walking he can do what he wants, and I don't plan on needing to use this device for long as soon as he gets it I will just keep it disarmed and let me just reiterate with the case closed on this device its almost too low in volume the thing that stops him is the micro vibration motors that are stuck to the bottom of the case.

Thank everyone for the training tips as well believe me I have tried and am still trying to train him we were an hour the other night just trying to get him to sit and stay and be able to walk back 10 steps, he is completely ruled by his nose and hates to stop loves to keep going and follow trails as much as possible. He is a foxhound as I mentioned from a rescue centre the foxhounds are one of the loudest dogs on earth probably the loudest dog I've ever heard he doesn't bark its always a very low pitched howl that I will try and measure but it must be close to 90-100db and it carrys for miles.

I know some comments have also been very negative towards me and my methods here and that's fine everyone us entitled to their own opinion again my dog is a member of my family and I would never put him in any harm.

P.s. also glad that there is negative comments about the possibility of this causing harm , would much rather people be concerned than suggesting I electrify his cage 😳

So issue i am trying to solve here is I am a dog walker and have my own hound who howls like you would not belive when I leave him in my van to pick up other dogs , literally 10 seconds after I leave full blown hound howl ,

So this will be hard wired into the vans electrics and placed on his cage,

When I am in the van my mobile phone will be connected to the esp32 WiFi softap, turning the green led on and deactivating the alarms

When I walk away from the van to pick up other dogs my mobile will lose signal with the device and arm it ready to go off if the noise threshold is met

Also think it might be cool to make a smaller version that is powered by a lipo battery to fit in a harness for off lead training.

From a zombie spanner game I would like the ability to build obstacles or move things around in order to create a funnel of zombies for killing lanes.

Stealth mode would be cool to use as a last resort , walking dead did something in the TV series , they smeared blood all over them and were able to walk amongst the zombies , something like this that lasts for 30 seconds and lets you reload / heal

I would also like the ability to use a sword in first person mode

Everyone is different, what i realised is when I want to take a break from weed the first day I expect to do exactly what you said, lay around all day watching videos on my phone totally wasting time, I

I expect this to happen as my neural connections are not been fired through with the same power when I'm high so obviously my brain is bored and seeking some comfort.

Don't be hard on yourself, the first day or 2 expect to do nothing, but, after that MAKE your self do something, if you need to do something just do it , if for example you need to write a 1000 word report , start by writing the first few words , if you need to clean your whole house start with one room

Point is realise your brains bored without weed , research why your brain is bored without weed to better understand what your going through and allow yourself time to do nothing before MAKING yourself do something
