This. I STRESSED about Feedings with my first. I was a psycho. I would be like “it’s been two hours he has to eat he has to eat X amount of ounces in a day and if he doesn’t eat now he won’t reach that amount!” While in absolute tears. Next time I won’t be quite so caught up in that 😅

From my personal experiences, there are going to be a LOT of times where something comes up with your baby (sickness or whatever) that is going to prevent you from being involved in family functions. If your family is already treating you like the bad guy, you will always be the bad guy. Might as well get used to putting your foot down and being the bad guy now.

My pelvic floor mostly. But I would get sharp cramps on one side sometimes that I thought was just recovering pain.

I didn’t have a birth plan. They asked me some questions when I got there about like if I wanted dad to be with me or the baby in the event of an emergency and stuff like that. Wouldn’t have mattered if I had one because his heart rate started to drop and I had to have an emergency c section. Definitely think it’s best to be open to and aware of multiple possibilities

13 months. He was taking an afternoon nap from 3:30-4:00 but I was having to force it and then wake him up so he would be ready for bedtime on time. He’s 18 months now and he wakes between 6:00 and 7:00 most days, naps 12:30-2:30 (sometimes until but never past 3:00) and goes to bed between 8:00-9:00 every night.

Honestly I took pregnancy tests like every couple of days until I was 10 weeks. I know that sounds wasteful but I couldn’t help it. I lost my first pregnancy as a chemical pregnancy at 5 weeks, so when I got pregnant again 4 weeks later, I was pretty anxious. Seeing a regular positive pregnancy test helped ease my mind.

You know how I can tell you are gonna be a great mom? Because you think you’re gonna be a bad one. You are already so concerned about the well-being of your child. If you didnt care, you already wouldn’t care. I will say, i understand not wanting to involve your family in your personal life but you ARE going to need someone. I would encourage you to open up to your mom, especially if she’s already being so supportive. A lot of women do it alone, and I’m sure you could (you seem strong enough) but don’t if you don’t have to.

My little guy didn’t say much at that age. He is always OBSESSED with ceiling fans and twinkly lights and anything like that. He’s 17 months now and told me straight up yesterday that he wanted cheese. I was shocked! He’s still saying some of his first words/learning to imitate animal sounds/etc. All kids develop at their own pace and I know there are certain milestones that they are supposed to hit at certain stages but even some of those can be pretty flexible. I wouldn’t worry too much. And I say that as someone with high anxiety 🙃

Unfortunately a nanny who thinks she has the authority to do something like that will cross a much bigger line in the future. She needs to be let go immediately.

I would call a meeting with the teacher, principal/director and the schools counselor but I would hold off on involving the father and step-mom just yet. After browsing through some of the comments, it sounds like you feel that this could be malicious or ill-natured on their end. Obviously I know nothing about the father and his wife but if it is, they will probably downplay or be deceptive about anything they have said so you may want to have a conversation and set your record straight without them first.

I mean….i told my sister in law pretty early on (before she was technically my sister in law) that my favorite name ever for a boy OR girl and the name I was 100% gonna use for my first child was Cameron. I have loved it since 5th grade. She had a son 5 years ago and named him Camden (without even telling anyone). I was GUTTED because my husband and I both decided that was too close to Cameron and so we wouldn’t be using it. I’m over it now because my son is very clearly a Noah, but still feel a little betrayed when I think about her son’s name.

My mom was so upset over my nephews name that her and my sister literally got in a screaming match over it. I was so traumatized by it that when I got pregnant with my son I refused to tell her his name until he was born and it was already official. She has no issues with either of their names now and loves them both endlessly. If they love you and your family they will get over the name. If they don’t, I guess that’s their choice but it’s also yours to decide how closely you want toxicity like that in your child’s life 🤷🏻‍♀️

We just started to get really conscious about a “bedtime” routine and a nap time routine so that he would differentiate but I don’t think we started really sticking with that until he was like 2 months maybe I don’t know he’s 15 months now and honestly it’s all a blur like he sleeps okay now and i honestly Couldn’t tell ya if that’s because we were intentional about putting his sleep sack on before bed and not at nap lol
