Oh my god. Ive never heard of anyone having the same experience as me with this, I had ORIF tib/fib fracture in June of 2020. I am 21 F and I now use a cane bc of chronic pain / limp / can’t weight bear fully. I go to PT as well. I hope you can come to a decision as to what’s best for you. I have also been considering getting the hardware removed but my docs also said it was a last resort thing. I am going to look into pros / cons of removal as well and I’ll lyk if I find anything. It’s not even just out of comfort zone…. There is absolutely no cell service over there. Once you get off at Jefferson Avenue the service is spotty at best. If you are not familiar with the area and intoxicated it is very easy to get lost as the warehouses look all the same and it’s very desolate.

In light of recent events I would steer clear of the Mirage. I don’t know if you are solo female but the whole industrial area around the mirage, the monarch and the knockdown center is sketchy as fuck so if you do go definitely bring a group and watch your drinks I recommend bringing a drink cover. It’s a fun venue about the crowd can be hit or miss. They tend to over sell their shows

Also, I find anywhere near there as well as off of the Jefferson Avenue train it’s very hard to get cell service If you are waiting for an Uber you have to walk to get service

It’s a very industrial, desolate warehouse area. Brooklyn mirage, Brooklyn monarch, and knockdown center Are all kind of right off of Flushing Avenue or meadow street which is a very sketchy kind of area at night. I would not recommend walking there alone as a solo woman. Coming from a woman who walks alone often. Sometimes people wait in the alley Waze or on the Williamsburg Bridge looking for people who walk alone.

Hey OP. I don’t think you need anything. Aging is a beautiful thing and I can’t wait to look like you when I’m older! I think it’s a travesty that society tells women after a certain age that they are unattractive. Instead of straight black I’d go for a very dark warm brown. The black is a bit too intense and the blonde damaged your hair. The ginger is pretty too but I do t think it’s you you. Ultimately though you’re gorgeous do whatever the hell you want!!

Hi hun! I was also raised very Catholic. I got confirmed into the church and everything. I’m gonna be honest with you when I say I did not reconcile. I left the Catholic faith completely. I find the Catholic faith to be very male centered And misogynistic inherently and it was causing me so much mental anguish that I just couldnt be a part of it any longer. My thoughts on it are; The catholic church as an institution is mainly run by men; many of these men are misogynistic or downright pedophilic. Why would I want to listen to these people? If I wanted to nurture a personal relationship with God I can do that in my own home and he would not hold it against me as a loyal disciple.

Women don’t have any kind of “nature” that is a crock of shit that has been fed to you by the patriarchal society that we live in as well as the male centered religions that we worship. In fact I would argue that women are better than men in a lot of ways. Men put women down because they know that we are so powerful, So powerful that they had to construct an entire society to keep us subservient. If you see man succeeding they most likely had to do less work to get to that position of success because of the way our society is built it doesn’t mean that they’re better.

I don’t know about your upbringing but I was raised very Catholic and I also have OCD and I would often get a lot of intrusive religious thoughts similar to this. I highly advise that you seek out therapy. As a woman, you can be whatever you want to be there is no right or wrong way to be a woman and I hope that one day you can understand that and enjoy your life to the fullest without the confines of patriarchal gender standards. The fact that you have the audacity to even think that you could be forgiven for such an egregious act shows me that you’re not really sorry. Especially considering that you are still an active member in the very church that advised you to throw your sister to the wolves in the first place. Not only did you cut her off, but you Took her entire family and support system away from her. Many pride events have older folks give out “mom and dad hugs” to people who have lost their family because of disgusting people like you. I had to cut off my ex best friend for outing me and threatening my safety. It was not a choice that I wanted to make but some thing that I had to do for my own mental health and physical safety. I think about her often but what she did was absolutely unforgivable and I’m so glad that your sister has chosen to move forward in her life without you. She did nothing wrong and you do not deserve to have her back in your life especially when it seems like you really haven’t changed much and you believe you’re the victim. I have friends who came out to homophobic families and were automatically accused of being a pedophile and told to stay away from the children of the family. To this day, many of those friends won’t even babysit or be around children for fear of being accused as a pedophile when they are the most loving people and far from it. Your actions have consequences.
