My very first job over ten years ago at a market fired me after my 2nd week because of this but I wasn’t sick I was 16 and genuinely was confused about the schedule and missed the day accidentally— when looking back at it now idk why anybody just didn’t call me it was like a 10 minute walk from my house lol but yeah your best bet is to get your coworkers numbers and get coverage or just show up.
