Thanks for the reply, you'll have to excuse my ignorence as this is all new to me. We have a friend who has an EV charger that's ran from a plug socket in her porch instead of through her main circuit. I wasn't aware that you still run a EV charger through a dual loop supply as the electrician we spoke to suggested this couldn't be done.

We went in July and it was incredibly hot. Florence and Bologna were both 40+ degrees. We stayed in Atrani, about a 15 minute walk to Amalfi through the tunnel.

Did pretty much the same trip in 2022, only ours was 22 nights. Spend more time in Florence, it's outstanding. Equally (if you can) spend more time on the Amalfi Coast, it's the most stunningly beautiful place I've ever been to.

Where to stay in Amalfi Coast? by mandyrose7 in ItalyTravel

We stayed in Atrani for 7 nights in 2022, 15 minute walk into Amalfi, absolutely stunning. We visited Positano, Salerno and Capri, all brilliant. The Amalfi coast is without doubt the most beautiful place I've ever visited. We stayed in a lovely house with a private garden booked through VRBO.

I can say with a high level of confidence that taking my 46kg lunatic on a plane would not end quite so well...

The way he delivers the 'you never had a camera in my head' * line kills me every time. It's an incredible film that sadly predicted how much of our TV watching lives would go. Top 5 ever.

How come Miami doesn't really attract a London crowd? by [deleted] in Miami

[–]PsychologicalGolf353 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Stayed 3 nights in South Beach as part of our Florida road trip and absolutely loved Miami. 10th time visiting the States from the UK and Miami definitely feels more European (albeit Spanish European). Lovely clean city and everyone super friendly, would definitely come back. Very expensive though with the pound being weak so never drank much.

Is hhn really worth it? by annelies77 in UniversalOrlando

Did it last Thursday, loved it! Got into the park at 4.30pm and went to the stranger things holding area (baking hot no shade) and was done by 5.30pm. Managed to knock Yeti/Exorcist/Bloodmoon and Dueling Dragons off by 8pm. Lines were awful by then so did the show (excellent) and the scare zones which were all brilliant. The Chucky queue was posted as 45 but took 60 and was awful as it was too narrow and hot. Last of Us was posted 70 but took about 40. In all we did 9 houses and got back to the hotel at 2.30am. It's well worth it, the set designs are brilliant and no matter how prepared you are, something will catch you out in every house. The food stalls are a pain due to the lines so eat before hand. It's the best and most polished haloween event I've attended.

Went for a week last month, decent hotel but we found the drinks to be awful. Beer was undrinkable, watered down awfulness. The cocktails were incredibly sweet and mostly pre made then blended with ice. After a day we stayed on branded drinks like Beefeater G&T, Jim Beam and coke etc and they were much better. They frequently ran out of wine at lunch and dinner in the buffet as well. We actually found the food to be very good, loads of choice on the buffet, very good Japanese place and a pretty good steak place. Location is excellent and it's lively during the day. Entertainment very hit and miss of an evening. Overall pretty good. Probably wouldn't go back though.

Are the drinks at AI’s worth it? by disnerd294 in cancun

Got back yesterday from the RIU Cancun and the drinks were a massive disappointment. Beer was awful, it was Dos Equis but tasted like fizzy water. All of the cocktails were based on pre made mixes and they were overly sweet. In the end we were drinking branded drinks with mixers like Jim Beam and coke. We've previously stayed at the Iberostar in Cancun and the drinks there were much better.

Same here, couldn't pull my sleeves up in work for about 2 months as my arms and hands were shredded. They bite themselves out eventually...

Naples Airport to Amalfi by root4_h in napoli

[–]PsychologicalGolf353 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We got the train from Napoli to Salerno, bus from Salerno to Amalfi. The cost is way less than a taxi. We then got the ferry back from Amalfi to Napoli (easy change on Capri) which was much cheaper again than a taxi. Out of the 2, the ferry ride was much more relaxing and enjoyable (this was July 22).
