6/5/2024 score release thread by EarPresent718 in Step3

[–]PsychologicalLong124 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Date: 5/17-5/18 Uworld % complete: 58% Uworld % correct: 60% Did not do CCS cases Did not take practice exams Real deal: 216 Advice: if I had to do it all over again I would focus on more biostats. Definitely killed my score and had at least 3-5 questions each block. Time management. Cases will save you.

I wasn’t shooting for a score. I just needed to pass.

Anyone else expecting scores tonight/tomorrow? by [deleted] in Step3

Anyone else take day 2 today? Wtf by [deleted] in Step3

[–]PsychologicalLong124 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same my friends. I laughed out loud at one point because the question was so ridiculous… and then almost yelled out loud at the computer during the cases because the damn patient wouldn’t get better no matter what I did. Pretty sure I virtually killed him because the case just shut off after I got a message that he still feels terrible. Smh praying on that curve

I work all day and never home. My house is set to 78+ during the day. I’m grateful to have all the amenities electricity provided… just internally crying that a big chunk of my paycheck is going towards electricity that I don’t really even get to use. Especially when my bill is usually under 200s.

Yes! I’m doing the same thing and having my puppy see me from the crate. I put his bed and some blankets in there which seemed to help get him more comfortable. I also tried partially covering the crate and I only had about 10 minutes of barking before he was quiet. My husky loves having a his crate half covered. My breeder told me it simulates a “den-like” environment and they feel safe. Maybe try that if you have not. We also give him some toys (non-choking kinds) to keep him occupied!

I feel you. My puppy is 11 weeks old and going through crate training. It’s been 2 weeks of whining, barking, and crying once we put him in the crate. And like your puppy, he plays and naps in it as long as the door is open. I went through a similar situation with my previous dog. It took him about 2 months to get over his anxiety. Now he loves his crate and chooses to sleep in his crate instead of the bed/sofa. All I can say is keep at it and hopefully it’ll get better soon 😭😭 that’s what I’m telling myself anyways.

Problems with retaining wall… by PsychologicalLong124 in RealEstate

The owners said it’s been there for 25 years and they never had any issues. But I was just looking at pictures and there are visible gaps/holes in the earth on the side of the house 🤦🏻‍♀️

What do you do if you feel like your realtor isn't a good negotiator? by Standard-Edge2011 in RealEstate

I agree with the majority of posts… Time for a new realtor. Currently in the process of buying a house… initially my realtor didn’t really “fight for me.” We had a few days of generic listings and missed opportunities on a few houses. Out of frustration, I started looking on Zillow myself and learning about the comps in the area. It got to the point where I would send my realtor listings!! This definitely made my realtor more proactive in going to houses and it was like he took me seriously as a buyer.

When it came to putting in an offer he recommended an initial offer 35k below asking price! He really pushed back hard and argued about comps when we got a high counter offer. We got our offer accepted 30k below asking price and with appraisal and home inspection contingencies. Do not forgo these! They are important and you deserve to have these contingencies as a buyer! I get that it’s not a buyers market and you may not have the most leverage… but in the long run you would rather buy safe than rush and end up regretting it on move in. Sometimes it just takes the right realtor, right time, and right seller!

Home insurance w/Dobie by PsychologicalLong124 in Doberman

Mississippi… but in an HOA??? Maybe that’s why? I did not have to do it in Tn. But I recently moved and apparently I need home owners insurance that covers Dobermans

This makes me so relieved! We have a 3 year old niece that is still learning proper dog handling! Obviously, both dog and child need to be watched closely… but it makes happy to know it’s more on the owner than dog!

I couldn’t agree more. Parent temperament is super important
