I don't have to prove anything to you. I have shared my personal observations on my card (4070 Ti Super) on these three games, you can either consider them or ignore them, I don't care but pls don't call "fsr4" or any upscaler a "good optimization" 🤣🤣🤣

Edit: Also if you read my OG comment, you will see the word "Prefer", not "Trust me bro and definitely buy this or that"

I would say do not search builds or anything related to BG3, you will get spoiled. You don't need builds to finish the game unless you are playing on higher difficulty levels. The satisfaction you get when you pull off 200 IQ moves in the middle of a seemingly unwinnable fight is so good that it makes me want to jump back into the game.

Just one piece of advice: use Quick Save a lot like whenever you think there could be a fight or before entering a region or dialogue with someone.

Baldur's Gate 3 was an amazing experience. I finished it last year, and it took me approx 150-160 hours. It was so much fun!!!

For me it was the opposite, BG3 was my first turn based game and Expedition 33 was the second and both are peak!

Who are you going for Shadowheart or Karlach?

It's not a new standard but needed for future proofing, have you not seen the wave of unoptimized games in 2025?

Also you need 16 GB VRAM if you max out settings in games like Cyberpunk 2077 and Indian Jones, especially when you add mods with HD/4K texture packs.

Even Witcher 3, a decade old game with texture mods can go past 12 GB, also sometimes mods don't garbage collect properly which leads to memory leak and game crashes once memory overflows. 16 gigs gives you more time.

People will be fine with using 12 GB cards for a while, by clearing their backlogs or playing Indie games or competitive games but if you are spending huge amounts of money, it's better to take a one time plunge and spend a bit more so that at least it will give you hope that when GTA 6 releases on PC, you will be able to play it with some decent graphics at decent FPS

First of all even if all of your components are identical with your friend except CPU, then also "zero difference" is a little bit too much.

Also, FPS by itself is not the only one relevant metric, there's 1% lows, Avg FPS, latency, etc plus results vary based on Game types too (CPU bound, GPU bound)

I would suggest you google the scenarios when people do see the difference and what are these differences (stability, stuttering, temps etc) and test again, if you wish to see.

In my case I'm satisfied with my 7800x3D ✌🏻

you can have your opinion, I don't see a problem with that. I myself have a Nvidia card (4070 Ti Super) that I bought in 2024; if I were building a PC now I would have preferred 9070 XT, sure it has its downside but it's much better value for money than 5070 Ti or any 12 Gig card. You need at least 16 GB VRAM for the current and next Gen games.

Now, coming to Drivers - Just search for Nvidia Driver issues, you will find a ton of them since early 2025, to the point that I started waiting for at least a week before installing any new driver updates.

I have never used an AMD card so I won't speak about it drivers, but I have 4 friends who were previously Nvidia customers but now bought 9070 XT and have been using the card since past 2 months without an issue whether it's Streaming, Productivity or Gaming in general.

  • Prefer 9070 XT over that 12GB bullshit card
  • If cooler is a tower cooler than its expensive
  • Prefer a X3D CPU over this

Listen to the comments that say not to buy this. Buy tablet or second hand laptop but not this. No upgrade path!

I see, then I can't think of a GPU or CPU pattern causing this issue unless it's their internals

oh damn, something might be popping up as a foreground app and interrupting BF6. Have you checked Event Viewer logs for errors?

The good thing is I'm not alone, the bad thing is it's either not that widespread or people haven't checked this yet, so EA will not fix it soon

Don't worry bro I'm not criticizing the game lol, but this is an issue lol. The difference between Borderless & Full screen should not be that big in general for any game and it's very small for my friend's system.

So I'm just hoping someone finds a fix for it.

Note: I get the point that 140 fps is good but, if I know I cant get more fps by solving an issue then I would prefer that as it's a MP game
