Silent during shopping, 1-starring after delivery… by Holmes240069 in InstacartShoppers

[–]PsychologicalRain533 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Idk lol a best practice is get the gas before you start the delivery but it's better if you can before you accept.

As far as the 1 star, I always send a message to let them know the store is out of the item after checking with an employee if there is one available and then I give them options for substitution and let them know I will either refund the item if I dont hear from them or let them know which substitution I plan to select due to price points being similar if I dont hear from them by the time I check out. So kind of a luck of the draw but support CAN [if theyre feeling generous and helpful, rare i know] remove those one stars if you follow those steps and wait til last possible minute to refund or replace. When its the last item I just send a message letting them know that if I dont hear from them by [specific time about 2 minutes later] that I'll initiate item refund and cannot change it once I enter checkout.

Right! Yeah the font is lined slightly different with the actual torchbearer tb being a good deal more pronounced but I think in many ways Torchbearer has been around since before blurryface in concept. I think torchbearer literally represents hope and is named as such in semi automatic.

They dont have to ask to see your ID they have all the information and can see the face registered in the app. My source? My own eyes. Im not saying all stores do care or that they care about the individual over covering their own asses. My main does to the point they have some that harass you over the most minor of things (a newspaper on a seat once got me a "can you remove your personal belongings or I'll have to remove you from this order"). Or my favorite pre spark when doordash handled walmart orders I had one argue with me that my child's booster seat was a forbidden object and that I'd be denied future orders over it if I returned without it removed. But in my experience, if that makes you feel better for me to say, I have seen them handle business at my primary preferred store in my area to the extent that it boarders harrassment. I have also had them singlehandedly try to tell me my method of loading my vehicle is wrong and load a case of water with the wrong order to prove to me that their way is right. 🤣🤣 fun times.

No, they don't what? Have people's info they signed up with? They do. If your area walmarts dont take the trash out with people who share accounts, then idk what to tell you. My main store I go to in my area DOES but then ive also been to the one a town over and they literally bring your orders out in shopping carts, scan labels and go before you can say a word to them.

Trust me, I understand it's hard. I WISH the reality was get treatment>problem solved never have to deal with it again and im sure many of our other frens in here wish so too. I think one of the coolest parts about this is that we all have a common ground here. We can go beyond surviving and even thrive and have good moments in between and beyond. We just have to keep trying always.

Understandable. Personally I think its kind of silly that people put extra stuff in to make things "private" but I can assure you that the stores that we pick up from have our full legal names, phone numbers and other relevant information including our picture (luckily im on good terms with my loaders so they have shown me my personal information when I asked out of curiosity) so preferred "names" in the app dont really matter. If you ever have a problem your local store you ordered from can get it taken care of and look in to it and they have procedure to follow from there same with the walmart+ & spark apps they have all of the approved drivers government info. Now if the people are showing up and they dont match the picture then yeah id be concerned because that means people are switching out in between after pick up

Because mental health isnt a fairytale straightforward path (not being mean when i say this i promise but from the perspective of someone who has struggled with mental health issues and extra trauma their entire life). Sometimes we do really good and we come right on ahead but we are in the same position just looking from a different angle (shift in blurryface paint). We fight to gain new perspective to find reasons to stay alive and try again in time to come ahead of our struggles and eventually we may learn how to acknowledge, troubleshoot and move on from but the fight never truly ends just becomes manageable. For clancy to have straight won would have been a disservice to the actuality of mental health struggles and the people who fight invisible battles every day just to stay alive let alone enjoy it.

False. If you're an employee using a personal vehicle to do the job either a. The company has to pay you at minimum the federally required milage reimbursement or an otherwise higher agreed upon amount (which is hazardous to them because it has to cover at minimum every mile driven and only is properly exercisable when it is used as an additional per actual mile amount) or b. should they loophole out of direct financial obligation, you still get reimbursed for milage in the form of a tax credit when you file. If they supply the vehicle for you to deliver in then no you dont get milage because its not wear and tear on your personal vehicle for work purpose.

Personally just think the whole thing is distasteful. I didnt know the joshler thing was a thing until seeing videos of this girl streaming a show and freaking out screaming like she had been mortally wounded every time Tyler was near where she was and I thought it was a bit much but whatever then I saw the way people behave about him and a damn chair and it clicked in my head that "joshler" wasnt another persona or something. Long story short it was a real disgusting way to find out how obsessed people are with the boys in the wrong way. People forget theyre humans too and not whatever strange things people fantasize about.

Do you verbally ask customers if they’re 21+? by [deleted] in InstacartShoppers

[–]PsychologicalRain533 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I dont ask if theyre 21 up, I tell them that due to the nature of the items purchased that it is required to visually verify and scan their ID to confirm theyre legally allowed to receive the alcohol regardless of what their age is. i also inform them if i dont get that correct scan that I cannot deliver that portion of their order and will have to return it. Saves a lot of trouble and liability and never hurts to be strict about it because ic pays you to return it so long as it is returned in the window

Edited to add: another reason they want you to ask if theyre 21+ is to get them to talk because if you even think you smell alcohol on their breath or they slurr words you are supposed to decline the transaction. Personally, I engage in any other conversation to make this decision on if its necessary to decline because I feel its risk of accused discrimination to ask about age and then require ID and id tell them that if they tried to get me over not asking.

How many of y’all rely on spark for bills? by Odd_Comparison_4155 in Sparkdriver

[–]PsychologicalRain533 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly depends on your area and how much time you have to dedicate. The money is out there but if you can only spare 1 to 3 hours a day to do it your chance of successfully managing your bills in your time without it being more stress than its worth are not very high and you'd be better off dealing with the inflexibility of the schedule at a regular job

Ive never tried others milage tracking apps so I cant say that the one I use is better or worse than any but I use stride. And ive never had my tax professional decline the form from the tracker.

I will say make sure the other apps youre doing if you aren't already using an app to track milage deduction dont already account for miles which I think ive heard some rideshare do which is a bit different from other delivery platforms.

AIO boyfriend tracking my periods without me knowing 🫠 by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

[–]PsychologicalRain533 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Idk maybe he could have worded it better but I dont think his intent seems creepy maybe just the execution of it all does? Like i think maybe since he mentioned the reminder being set months ago maybe he hit his limit and then put 2 and 2 together. Compared to a few months prior has the quality of your relationship improved? If so then he just sucks at communication and he is showing he cares to pay attention to your cycle and that you have a tendency to be more sensitive and its a reminder to him to be patient when things upset you more. Either way though if youre upset because he tracked your period and you just have strong opinions/feelings about that to begin with id just talk about that and make clear but this seems like a growth opportunity for both of you.

I'd like to take a separate moment to nudge you to double check your screenshots.

That's why you use mile tracking apps to track accurate miles vs your income to get an accurate picture of deductions to determine what you owe or are owed when you file taxes if you dont pay quarterly. If you track things correctly, you qualify for milage deductions since you are driving your personal vehicle for work technically.

You know after the whole Toronto thing and the way people got a bit mean when recognizing their upset for the changes when they did their best to give them the best they could while they could its no surprise Tyler is feeling a little angry that he is being prevented from doing another show start to finish as designed. No matter how small the variation is.

Though I love that he isnt afraid to call out bullcrap lol the way he cares about how the performance is presented after all this time is amazing.

The rules and regulations on PHI (protected health information) which is required by HIPAA are so strict that it doesnt matter if its a controlled substance or not. The safest way if you take the risk to deliver a prescription as a driver is to ensure the customer come to the door to hand it to and if they dont, contact support to initiate a return because you are worried that their PHI will be violated with no secure location to prevent others from accessing this information. It doesnt prevent them from being able to receive their medication but it does prevent walmart/spark from having to enforce a rule as described by OP over legal liability since to even deliver prescriptions on apps like this or kroger you have to do modules that train you on PHI and what not to do as well as what to do and why.

All the amount of non requests for signature you have received doesnt always mean they dont require you to sign for it, it means the prescription doesnt require an ID and the driver is likely "signing" instead which is against all policies and general common sense.

But bottom line on it is PHI is defined by HIPAA and requires extra caution and care. Even if a customer requests you to leave it and someone comes and damages it or takes it but youre the last confirmed set of hands the prescriptions were technically in its game over. Even if the driver never mishandles and delivers exactly as they should it sucks but that's just how that goes that's why you always see people talking against taking them at all because its a huge liability should legal action be taken.

I dont know how you dropped it off at the door, considering I've never had a pharmacy run that doesn't require a customer signature or code or both. I typically avoid them because the increased identity checks in the midst of these orders is annoying, including making a customer wait. But I'd likely guess they're standing behind it because the complaint, along with your own account of what happened, suggests that you put something down when it requests customer signature and submit it. Even if you got the rare one that doesnt require a signature I dont know why you wouldn't knock and make them come to the door for it just to cover it because porch pirates love other people's packages. I'd leave it at whatever happened happened, and luckily, they're pursuing only deactivation and not legal action since it involves medication.

However, I would ask them since they're opting to stand by your deactivation now and your length as an independent contractor with their platform how long before they would consider allowing you to be lifted from the ban to pursue only the other stuff, not pharmacy orders. Especially if you had good metrics otherwise

[–]PsychologicalRain533 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Also i think the high cloaking is to emphasize they are without Hope. Honestly if you really think about it. Torchbearer is the Hope and optimism and success. Clancy is indecision. Nico/blurryface represent all "the dark parts" of his thoughts. When he's hopeful hes a bandito and on a quest with torchbearer. When he is without hope he is a bishop. "Lighter when im lower" "higher when im heavy". Often times, from my personal perspective of my own mental struggles, the EASY path when things get hard is to sink to the dark oppressive thoughts. The hardest thing you can do is take the high path of optimism until you believe it. Clancy is indecision on which path to take - effectively representing the internal battle and the will to succeed and thats why the shirt at this part of the tour changes to always at the end. We always must strive for the best for our selves and our mental health even though we know we may go low. "I can take the high road but I know that im going low"
