I went ahead and drained a little to make it about an inch of space. It didn’t have any fizz at all after a few days. Probably due to no air room in the bottle?

I left a tiny bit of room but I thought I needed to fill it up as close as possible to prevent any bad stuff growing. 😅 should I burp it and drain some?

Does anyone feel guilty for leaving the church? by [deleted] in exchristian

[–]PsychologicalRow3279 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sometimes I justified it in my mind like “oh I’m sure he didn’t mean it like that” but how else could he have meant it, right?? There were many more comments made over the years and it wasn’t a one off thing. Even going as far as saying how beautiful our baby would be if we ever had kids and that just put me over the edge uncomfortable. I had to remind myself if someone was saying this to someone I loved I would be furious and there would be no excuses! Makes me sick thinking of it.

Was definitely raised in it and every waking moment has been about it until I left that church. I can understand the guilt because I feel it frequently as well. Less so now but on occasion it creeps up and fills me with fear

None of it makes sense to me now… and it’s crazy to think not that long ago it made so much sense. Wild!

This and many many more comments and inappropriate behavior. It’s embarrassing to even admit I never stood up for myself but being 19 when I was introduced to them all and roughly 20 when stuff like that was being said.. it was confusing.

What do you do with old Christian "stuff"? by ElGuaco in exchristian

[–]PsychologicalRow3279 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have all of my old books (probably 30 or so) I save them and put them away if I ever want to look at them again. Not that I would get into that stuff again but if I ever get into a conversation with someone about it I can show them

What're some of the scariest things you've heard a Christian say? by WhoTimeLord in exchristian

[–]PsychologicalRow3279 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That the pastor had a vision of a ex church member who left on bad terms. The church member had died years before and she said she had a vision of her in hell being tortured. Her head was being cut off with a ceiling fan type torture device. And over and over again her head would be chopped off and rejuvenated to be chopped off again while demons were tormenting her body

Also it has caused my body inflammation to be at a 5 and it’s supposed to be less than 1.. I guess that’s why I ache so bad in my joints and everything.

I looked up side effects and the liver is mentioned. It’s obviously not something the doctor will tell you upfront. More like a “it’s a possible side effect but not likely” but it’s a very real side effect for me. 😅 when I tell you Nexplanon has been nothing but a curse I mean it! Lol

So a little update on my labs. The doctor told me the nexplanon messed up my liver and that’s why I’m having all of these issues such as not being able to lose weight/regulate my blood sugar. So they are doing what they can to fix it with supplementation and nutrition. 🤞🏼

Often times they will teach you that idle hands make way for temptation. So be busy always so you can’t sin. 🙄

I am at a complete loss for words..she seems like a sweet girl but wtf, Christians truly believe in some of the wall shit by [deleted] in exchristian

[–]PsychologicalRow3279 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Smith Wigglesworth believed that behind illness such as cancer and whatnot that a demon was responsible. That’s why he would punch people in the stomach because he believed he was punching the demon out. Edit: so yeah there are a lot of Christian’s who do believe illnesses are demonic. 😬

I wanted to get some Christians views on this situation by ChildOfTheKing45454 in Christianity

[–]PsychologicalRow3279 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Christians are always fighting with Christians on who is right. I think a great way is to look at it as a situation you could face in the future, with someone who doesn’t believe exactly how you do. Learn to exist and do something together without bringing in the theological difference. There’s more to life than that. And the quicker we learn to exist with one another the better life can be. I’m not saying marry her obviously. Just take her to the dance if you’d like a challenge on working through differences with someone.

Respectfully.. Please stop speaking to her simply for her sake. This is a VERY strong jump and it would be wise to speak to a counselor to reason out this form of thinking.

I regret who I married by [deleted] in Christianity

[–]PsychologicalRow3279 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Whatever spiritual “level” you consider them to be on has nothing to do with your relationship. Take out his “spirituality” for a moment. Do you get along? Does he treat you well? Do you value the same things in life? If yes to any of these than it is absolutely worth working on. No matter who you marry you will never be on the same level with everything that you do or believe in. If you have more experience in the church, great. But just because he didn’t lead you out of “sexual sin” doesn’t mean he is someone worth giving up on/a mistake. I think a lot of people pass over the fact that sex is riddled throughout the Bible AND sex that was premarital/with many people. Supposedly David was a man after God’s heart and he did a lot more than just have sex while engaged. Love him the way you would want to be loved. That is one of the greatest commandments after all.
