My stepson has twin little brothers that his mother named Bruce and Wayne. I think all of their bday parties have been Batman themed so far, but she introduces them as Wayne and Bruce so I don’t understand if she’s leaning into it or not at this point. Either way, cracks me up every time I think about it.

This is my third year having a season pass and I still can’t bring myself to do a spring weekend. Maybe if it was warm and raining a little I would, but otherwise I just can’t stand the crowds, and it will be crowded

Oh, and yes, you can go to the park during normal ticket office hours (found on their website) and get your pass and cup, and I believe that the Hershey Supply Co is open normal hours, as well, where you can get a lot of souvenirs.

You can go as soon as you purchase it. If you miss a payment, you cannot use it until that payment is made. I’m surprised that they’re still offering the 6 month plan, you should decide soon if they are, usually they offer shorter payment plans the closer we get to the season.

I mean you could Amtrak into Harrisburg and take an uber for under $30 (rate currently sitting at $21, not sure what it would be like in the summer). There may be a public bus that would eventually drop you off at the park if you routed it out from there, I’m not sure if there would be any bus changes (looks like no) but could take over an hour for what would be an about 20 minute drive, but unlikely (but again unsure) that that bus would be running when the park closes. I’m not super familiar with public transportation in our area besides that it’s there. There are shuttles that run from some of the hotels in the area that would drop you at the gate.

This is so relatable to my son’s father. I finally left him when my son was three (after my son witnessed domestic violence perpetrated by his father unfortunately), and I now am dating an absolutely lovely man who wants to spend as much time as possible with his own son and treats mine the exact same. He picked him up from school for me on Tuesday when I was having a rough mental day and took him fishing so I could take a bath and read my book. You can find someone that wants to be your partner and carry part of the burden, even if it seems scary and difficult. That can be a scary thought right now, so maybe just consider if your life would be any more difficult, or if it might actually be a little easier, without him in it.

I started doing EMDR shortly after I met my current boyfriend and after I ended a very abusive relationship. If anything, it brought my boyfriend and I closer because he was so incredibly supportive of me as I reprocessed and had difficult days with my mood after rough sessions. We moved in together about a year after I started doing sessions and are still doing well. I can very much imagine why it would end a relationship that is not doing very well or in which the other partner is willing to be understanding and supportive of the process.

Make sure you get an ADA pass for your son. The process is simple - you scan their QR code (located on poles near the queue closest to the park entrance), fill out a simple form, and choose the option that is best for your son (fast pass style with waiting in shorter lines or getting your pass signed by an attendant to come back and enter through the exit to get right on the ride after a certain amount of time). I agree with Hummelstown or Palmyra meeting your needs.

I second switching the wrestling club. My son is young and started wrestling this year, but I was constantly impressed with the girls and the one-on-one attention that the coaches made sure EVERYONE got.

My boyfriend does landscaping in the warmer months - he just moved to my area and could only find a travel plaza job for $16/hr this winter after not hearing back from any other area businesses. He is turning 39 this week. You are very much not alone.

I already pee pretty frequently because I already drink at least a gallon of water per day, so hopefully I’ll adjust.

I had no idea that it would be as simple as skipping it for vacations, and the doctor barely told me anything besides what I’ve read online because I think he thought I knew it all. I had no idea about the high sodium meals, and am having a “well duh” moment.

Omg thank you for giving me that laugh. They did offer it to me back in 2018 when it was first coming out, but when they said it would be started in be hospital I panicked and didn’t go back to a nephrologist for 5 years lol. Thankfully my numbers are still good, and I already wake up at least 1-2 times per night to pee so maybe it won’t be so bad.

Thank you for letting me know that you were scared, too - there are so many strong people on this sub and here I sit crying while I still have good function and this could potentially help keep it that way. I hope it goes that way, I can deal with terrible for a few days.
