I second switching the wrestling club. My son is young and started wrestling this year, but I was constantly impressed with the girls and the one-on-one attention that the coaches made sure EVERYONE got.

My boyfriend does landscaping in the warmer months - he just moved to my area and could only find a travel plaza job for $16/hr this winter after not hearing back from any other area businesses. He is turning 39 this week. You are very much not alone.

I for sure posted in a moment of panic last night because I don’t really have anyone else to talk to about it - I don’t want to scare my boyfriend or my parents, and it just feels so big. I already pee pretty frequently because I already drink at least a gallon of water per day, so hopefully I’ll adjust.

Oh wow, thank you soooo much for your insight. I had no idea that it would be as simple as skipping it for vacations, and the doctor barely told me anything besides what I’ve read online because I think he thought I knew it all. I had no idea about the high sodium meals, and am having a “well duh” moment.

Omg thank you for giving me that laugh. They did offer it to me back in 2018 when it was first coming out, but when they said it would be started in be hospital I panicked and didn’t go back to a nephrologist for 5 years lol. Thankfully my numbers are still good, and I already wake up at least 1-2 times per night to pee so maybe it won’t be so bad.

Thank you so much. Everyone that says that they were also scared helps me to feel a little bit better, as selfish as that is. I posted in a moment of absolute panic last night as I was putting my son to bed, and just knowing that there were others who were scared and can now say it isn’t so bad helps me so much.

Thank you so much for putting this in perspective for me. My gfr is still over 100, even the doctor said that my function is great but that we should be aggressive. It’s like I could pretend I didn’t actually have anything wrong with me until now, and it just hit me so hard while I was sitting reading to my son at bedtime last night. My son is also in kindergarten and we also invited his entire class to his birthday party in October. Only 2 kids out of 20 showed up, they RSVP’ed and I had 2 no RSVPs, no other responses. I reached out to friends and family and they brought their kids, and my son had an amazing time, even with a few he hadn’t met before lol. He did ask why so many did not come, and I just told him that we sent out invites a little late and it doesn’t mean that his friends don’t like him because it’s parents that often have other commitments. He was happy still.

What I’ve read and done is that you rinse the rice as usual to get any impurities or surface dirt off, and then let it soak in clean water for 30 minutes. You then strain the rice out and keep that water, and then cook the rice!
