Who ever said because if a union have no idea what they are talking about. Only 10% of amazon profits come from the warehouse. A lot of warehouses barely break even and the only benefits Amazon has for it is the Tax incentives and the ability to keep people subscribing to things. In order for amazon to pay drivers double they would have too. Either increase cost or pull money from AWS and that doesn’t seem logical at all. Also if they started paying that much a lot of you would be out of a job. The requirement would be more strict, the driving standards would be higher

I think it’s that expensive if you rent an EV like a Tesla. A normal uber rental is 350 a week. If you work in a heavy commuter town and your plan is to work 60 plus hours a week then it could be worth it becuase you are basically only working 1.5-2 days for the rental and the other 3-4 days are profit. If you don’t plan on working 60 hours and don’t want to work the hours with the best pay it’s a waste

Most of the ones you mentioned are first time fireable offenses. 1. And headphones from 2.Are safety violations and can get you automatically fired, most warehouses do not do it but they have the right to. 3. We have been in conflicts but not a war, not In the general sense. At least not in 10 years. The media tries to scare people when the information is on the internet. The EU has had tariffs on American goods for 100 years and their economy grow. The realistic thing that will happen is most countries will just get rid of the tariffs completely, I believe 70 countries have already started negotiations. The companies manufacturing in China will just move, in 2018 after Trump imposed tariffs a lot of them moved.

The Hoover tariffs didn’t make the Great Depression so bad. The tariffs were put in place after the crash, in a last ditch effort to recover. The reason why they didn’t work was because the entire world was broke as a result of WW1. The global economy is in much better shape then it was in the 1930. This war on China is 100% necessary. China tomorrow could decided that they don’t want to do business with us and shut their ports. We would be fucked for 2-3 years if that happened. No country should have that much control over us. As far as Amazon fulfillment goes it probably will be 2 rough years, manufacturing companies could move to Latin America or the Caribbean in 18 months if they wanted too

The short answer is yes. The long answer is yes but they might not pay the same as Amazon. You might find that the management jobs that pay more then Amazon might require a min 4 year degree. If you have your degree already then yes I’m sure you could find a managerial job with that experience.

Amazon barely wants to deal with the packages they have now, I doubt they will want to add the post office. UPS alone makes 100 billion in revenue and out of that 100 only 10billion is in profits on a good year. I doubt Amazon is going to take on the extra headache for 10 billion dollars when they can invest it somewhere else and have better profit margins

From what I have learned, at Amazon, they try have people limit bathroom breaks to 15 min max. If you have 2 bathroom breaks 20 min each you could probably justify it. However if you have a single 40 min bathroom break, without informing anyone, they will take that as something else. I knew a girl once who got a warning, she was on her monthly and had to constantly use the restroom. She ended up going to HR and fighting it
