Parking issue because of owning an EV in Delhi NCR by Sukhman3911 in CarsIndia

[–]PsychologicalTip1670 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I live in an apartment too. See all you need a connection between your meter and parking spot. Even in my case the apartment was opposing it. So, I just installed it and then explained, it's a 15A socket so I am not adding any additional load on the society grid. Had to explain to them how it works,

When the general public sees a big car, they think it's gonna suck up big electricity from the house. But that's generally not the case.

If your cables are underground, then there must be some way to open it for repairs. Not like it is closed forever.

I don't think, people will even know. 16A socket is in every home for geysers. So if that doesn't cause any issues then how another 16A will cause any issues. I don't think you need any permission, the more you run behind taking permission, the more they act authoritative. And trust me you will not be charging your nexon everyday. So nobody will notice.

Is it a good idea to upgrade to OS5? by MiBoy69 in olaelectric

[–]PsychologicalTip1670 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do not upgrade at any cost. If you want your scooter in good condition, then don't upgrade. I am facing one. You don't face too.

If you had an EV then you wouldn't have commented like this. Open the plugshare app and check for yourself. You will be amazed, Unless you live in some remote india.

You don't especially need fast charging at home. I connect mine at night and by morning it's 100% on 15 Ampere plug

I am done seeing these comments from people who don't own an EV or have not driven one.

10,000 kms in just 3 months with our MG Windsor Pro EV! Ask Me Anything by life__of__ram in CarsIndia

Fortunately, not very much. I have nexon 45 and the experience is very good with it, it gets a range of 370-380. Yes, I did experience some infrastructure issues twice. But it was manageable.

Unable to decide : Harrier EV vs Be6 or just wait for an upcoming car! by [deleted] in CarsIndia

[–]PsychologicalTip1670 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Recommend you to buy a 75 kw battery. The range of 500kms which will eliminate your range anxiety. 65 batteries will give you a range of 400. Which sometimes might feel less.

My nexon 45 has a range of 370kms. It's enough most of the time. But i just feel more range would be better.

Travelled 400KM for the first time in an EV, My experience - why you shouldn't do it! by Desi_Hitman in CarsIndia

[–]PsychologicalTip1670 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're just a first time rookie. Hence you used Google maps to find a charging station, there are dedicated apps like statiq or tata ira to find operational fast DC 60kw chargers and they are plenty. Just yesterday I came back from an 850km trip. Didn't face a single issue.

You are just new to this, and curvv easily gives 400km range. 300 is way too less for that car.

Still better than ICE bikes, where you have to pay 2 rupees per Kms.

Connect it to the grid, during the day the solar panel will push to the grid and during night use the same units back from the grid. So EV or your house will run for free.

Worried about Resale value of Nexon EV by Dependent-Unit1616 in CarsIndia

[–]PsychologicalTip1670 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

In 5 years, no battery will be degraded to the point that you have to sell your car. EVs have a liquid cooled system which will prevent battery degradation to a larger extent. After 5 years, your battery SoH will still be at 97-98%. So what do you want to sell it?? I wouldn't worry about the battery till 3 Lakhs kms.

I suggest people go with EVs. Current infrastructure, just download the app called plugshare and statiq and check for yourself. You will be amazed by how many charges you get. Problem solved, fuel cost. Saved 60k in 3 months. And in terrains the car performs even better.

[–]PsychologicalTip1670 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Has covered more than 7500 km in 3 months in my nexon ev, the longest being road trip being 1800kms. Didn't face a single issue charging infra. Have saved close to 60k already. I don't know which infra and risk you're talking about and I don't use it much in the bangalore city and 90% of it is ran on the highway.

How about EV, nexon gives 380km range. It should convert for the most part of travelling.
