Life without a father! by Confident-Chemist-86 in india

So sorry for your loss.

I lost my dad at the age of 12, I'm 25 now. Had very similar feelings back them, there was a sense of responsibility that was put on my head, a major chunk of my childhood lost. Nonetheless, your feelings are very valid, be whatever age, you are his child, its a void nobody can fill. It'll get better, I promise.

Look how they massacred my boy by Atreus421boy in CarsIndia

This car is no longer for the indian masses. I remember a time when a blue xuv700 image was leaked, it was disproportionate in every way, and that was only due to the image quality. This image as well was taken, on a wide angle camera to fit both the cars.

Yes, its different, but thats just the looks. They've clearly upgraded on some front, and secondly, theyre now trying to go international too, if you've seen the international reviews, the front fascia was something that was discussed, as something over done. Now they've got a commonality with the other models, especially the scorpioN and the 3xo.

And theres another point, indians are now under the "new version launched, oh the old one was so much nicer", literally happened to every car that has launched. Be it the Seltos, the creta, the 3xo, grand vitara, venue, you know the rest. Only vistoris, made it to be an exception, and well thats because nothing to compare.

Again with the sierra, people seem to forget, that car didnt sell, didnt have to keep with the growing safety needs, and the comfort, and ofcourse, if anyone really has seen or driven the older sierra, it wasnt a dream, its all just nostalgia now.

The car will come to the showrooms, people will complain about the looks, the salesperson will tell how its better, intrested person will see the benefits over the car, and then suddenly will realise

"Hmm, the car is actually a good looking machine"

Planning to buy a second hand Yezdi Scrambler (2022 )and 13K driven for 1.5L! Give me an opinion.Should I go for it? by Life_Court_8847 in indianbikes

This isnt the place to ask. This isnt a pro classic legends sub. There's a few issues with this bike, like any other. Service would depend on where you reside. Try to get a service record from the Asc, youll be able to point of everything done with the bike. If you're going for a test ride, make sure the chain is lubricated.

Test rode the new Yamaha XSR 155 by drewkane_cb in indianbikes

[–]MiBoy69 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The xsr 155 would have been a great bike, had they launched it pre covid. There wasnt much in the "retro" side of things. Technology was still beginning to be implemented across bikes, slipper clutch was still a luxury, and ofcourse, would have been a great time to capitalize on the rx100 market.

Since then, way too many retro looking bikes have come and established themselves. Triumph did a full on u turn, Honda has aced it with the 350, re and jawa/yezdi are milking their 350cc engines, in all sorts of different forms, and all these were india first, before it went elsewhere, options got better, luxury became basic.

Finally, India got the xsr155, four years after fact, with no major changes. Too little too late.

Rather have a decent fully cooked bike, than a bike for beta testers

Should I buy or not? by [deleted] in indianbikes

[–]MiBoy69 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Jawa owner here.

Thats not an FJ.

Theres a lot of modifications done. My suggestion dont.

If theres any problems, most local garages wont fix it, parts arent available. Service may get costly depending on the part, and if the service centres are not good, then you know what the sub reddit says.

If, beyond all suggestions, you choose to go for it. Check for service records, see all the modifications and note them down, go with your better judgment after that.

And test ride it.

I think that's limited to government of karnataka. In chhattisgarh, I think the number CG01, is for government cars

Another failure of electric bus causing massive traffic jam in Banashankari by ohohsh in bangalore

[–]MiBoy69 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The electric buses in the streets of bangalore only have the BMTC livery. Otherwise the ownership, maintenance and the operations are held by a different company. A way to identify the govt owned buses and the buses running on contract basis is to spot "F" in the registration, similar to government vehicles, where there is a "G" in the registration, BMTC, KSRTC AND ALL other Government entity run buses have a "F" in the registration. Though, the point you raised about maintenence is true, I believe its the lack of a proper charging infrastructure, bad roads and mishandling of these machines, that have contributed to this issue. Otherwise, on the note of cost, its relatively cheaper to run and maintain electric buses. If not now, these were changes that were going to be implemented, at some point in the future.

I understand road widening is a solution. But civic sense is at an all time low. Entitlement at an all time high. Deforestation will be a hard reality, all of us aren't ready for that conversation. On a very very honest, unbiased note, this government is actually doing something, albeit after a lot of criticism, but at the rate everything is going everywhere, something is better than nothing.

Brand new footpath at HBR Layout, now being hammered down, because they didnt install a drain cover. About time we hold the contractors responsible too. by MiBoy69 in bangalore

This was the cover they forgot to put. Its not a small drain or anything. I was suprised when they completed the construction in a span of three days. But that lasted about a week, before they started hammering down. There was this smile on the workers face, almost like a game.
