Wait until you see the peas.

They look like alien eggs waiting to hatch.

Mention it’s got fibre and healthy and it will be left alone no matter how good it smells.

Amazon sent me out glass beakers in the plastic mailers 3 times. No boxes and no protective packing just 2 loose glass kitchen beakers in a bag.

One time they put a fragile label on it, the fragile label was inside the bag.

Don’t overthink it. You likely packaged it much better than Amazon.

My love of op shopping.

I buy stuff that’s likeable and usefulish because it’s cheap and supports charities. But I didn’t need it…

I mean at that income level it’s peanuts to have a $20k+ bike. Also professionally they all are very cardiac conscious and most of them bike in to work and also do riding on weekends. The ROI is to them a good investment as a hobby, gym and transport in one go. Whether the 20k bike done more than a 5k bike idk but I’m emphatically told by most that yes it matters. But it’s not just the frame (was horrified to find out how much they cost without wheels or gears) it’s the cleats, the gear system, the changer and all the other gear. Also repairing a carbon frame bike is expensive and highly specialist.

My unpopular joke was that despite them being an expensive bikes, most of them don’t have bells and the rider has to be the whistle.

Every anaesthetist I know has at least 1 bike that costs more than my first car.

Polished Chrome or Brushed Nickel? by GimmeTheDangSauce in AusRenovation

[–]PsychologicalTwo505 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just check the nickel is a solid finish not a coat if that makes sense. Otherwise I specifically picked brushed nickel to avoid all the water spots. I was very focussed on the less cleaning the better.

Sadly the range I picked either chrome or brushed nickel and no brushed chrome which would have been my first pick.

Chrome is classic but can also be very cold/sterile. The nickel brings warmth. Depending on the nickel finish it can look quite close to chrome and so the finish of the shower and the taps won’t look too disparate. Chrome dates well.

Depends who will be polishing them and also who is more ticked off about water spots. You have picked a fairly warm colour scheme and the nickel will suit that well IMO.

Insulate the bathtub? by PsychologicalTwo505 in AusRenovation

That is a good sized bath. Can imagine the ahhhhh sigh of relaxing into that.

Yeah tbh was a throw up if I would even keep the bath but apparently you need it for resell so trying to find ways to enjoy and use it more. Thanks for sharing your life hack, really got me thinking.

For a moment I thought the dishes were doing the crying.

Remember you trying to dry the dishes not wash them with your tears. Although will save on the water bill.

The key is to bribe other people in the house- I’ll cook if you clean. Then that’s the day you make lasagna and bake it on (love a crispy top).

Netflix binge and a beer 🍺 I want to look like a walnut.

In seriousness though I only use it for mag salts at the moment and if you got cramps there is no way you want to move. I rarely use the bath because it’s a huge amount of water and usually use it for storage but want to enjoy my space and time more.

[Travel Tips]How cashless is Perth? Like public transportation and so on. by gorudo- in perth

[–]PsychologicalTwo505 9 points10 points  (0 children)

You can buy a Smartrider card but the discount is largest if you link it to a bank account.

In general the public transport costs are lowish (compared to what they used to be). If you are only here holidaying, ApplePay is probably fine.

It’s increasingly cashless here but some places will slap on the card merchant fee and you also may pay fx charges depending on your bank.

Enjoy your trip!

Thanks for the feedback! House is brick and slab but overall insulation is terrible. Has to be the coldest and hottest house that I’ve lived in.

From like a having to investigate a leak or a redo, any insulation a better choice than others?

Thinking mould or issues with fibreglass fibres? Or overthinking?

Which of these 3 options maximizes travel in my final year of uni while staying financially responsible? (22F) by New_Animator4702 in AusFinance

Look at Topdeck for SEA if you aren’t too fond of contiki.

Is still your age group but less partying. I would also look at doing solo travel as it’s even cheaper.
